The Cavision 6 x 6" Skin Tone Enhancing 2 Filter should be used for portraits in open shade. This filter produces a needed touch of warmth to bring skin tones back to an acceptable balance. In open shade (which can often be distractingly blue/gray), this can turn a pasty, flat image into a charming, acceptable portrait. The filter also helps increase the saturation in foliage and also has benefits when producing architectural shots.
Cavision is a Canadian company specializing in quality filters for film, broadcast and video productions. They also produce a variety of equipment including 3 x 3" and 4 x 4" matte boxes, boom poles and wide angle attachments for TV cameras.
