Comments about Clik Elite Large Hiker Backpack (Gray):

Bought this bag for the ability to load my camera gear and go on a weekend trip without having to carry multiple packs.

Camera compartment is large and very configurable and allows plenty of storage for camera body, multiple lenses, flash and any other camera items you may want to bring along.

Overall the bag has a high quality construction and plenty of space and pockets for all your additional items you may need in addition to your cameras.

Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away for 2-3 days and wants to take there photography equipment with them. I am easily able to carry my T3i w/ lens plus 2 additional lenses & flash. Has pockets for carrying multiple filters and memory cards, along with the necessary supplies I need for 3 days in mountains.

Comments about Clik Elite Large Hiker Backpack (Gray):

I bought this pack for backpacking trip up and down the smokies that I was taking with a buddy of mine. We averaged about 10 miles a day for a week. We returned to the car after every 2nd night out on the trail to keep food and weight to a minimum (and also to move to other parts of the park).

I have to admit, I was expecting more space overall (for photo equipment and camping gear alike).

I was only able to fit my Canon 5D, 24-70 f2.8L, 70-200 f2.8L USM II, 2 hotshoe flash units, and 4 70mm filter cases (I stood my camera up sidewise and the 70-200mm sitting on its tripod ring & placed the rectangular cushions under them with the filters inside of those) inside the camera compartment.. I slid my Nodal Ninja 5 tripod bracket in one of the upper compartments. There simply was no room for my tiny little LensBaby to go along - how's that happen? The accessories pocket had plenty of room to hold memory cards, a handful of batteries, remote release timer, a poncho, and a few other odds and ends.

Up top personal space was a little too scarce to be considered a standalone backpacker.. but we made due. I was able to fit my sleeping bag (in a high-end compression bag), a Hobo Hammock, 1 pair of pants, 2 t-shirts, 1 long-sleeved shirt, a pair of shorts, underwear, a few pairs of socks, a 2L insulated platypus hydration pack (awkwardly fit on top horizontally), and a ziplock bag of trailmix. In the uppermost compartment I fit a messkit, and a small waterbox for my phone, meds, snacks, ect. On the side I fit a tarp, 550 cord, a waterbottle. Outside I hung a Kelty Camp seat (the 90 degree pad--not a chair chair) from the middle clip and beneath the pack I hung a carbon fiber tripod. Total weight was around 40-45 lbs.

I was not able to fit: food (other a few energy bars and the trailmix), water purifier, the small JetBoil camp stove, camp tools, ect. Luckily I had a companion who understood and was willing to help out with these items that we'd both need.

The straps on the bottom holding my tripod were barely adequate. I ended up just tying them in knots with it because it would work loose and bob-around as I walked. The tripod also got scuffed up from being set down repeatedly on rocks and the like.

I am a small guy, so my 30 inch waist meant that I had to use every bit of the waist strap to get it tight.. but it did work! As far as the torso adjustment, I'm 5' 7'' and had it on the Large setting.. so if you are a tall fellow, it may run small for you. The comfort was good overall, but can't compare to dedicated backpacking packs out there (an acceptable concession for the protection of my photo gear).

All that said, for my purposes, this was a good purchase and would do it again.

Comments about Clik Elite Large Hiker Backpack (Gray):

I was looking for this type of backpack a years. Always something was wrong: not enough room for gear, or not enough room for my hiking stuff or simply awkward design. Finally I've got Large Hiker Backpack (Gray) by Clik Elite. [...] fill up with my photo and hiking gear and went for 2 nights mounting hiking trip. Now I feel good! Backpack is very agronomical with lots of adjustments and actually is big enough, what is very important to me. So I wont concentrate on hiking gear compartment since is absolutely great and feet the purpose (tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, portable stove, food and extra clothing).Photo gear compartment: I like size of it, but I don't get design of it. Compartment is almost a perfect cubical shape, so you need a lot of imagination to properly locate your gear, but once you get it its perfect. I throw away main divider what have absolutely awkward shape (sort of an s-curve with way too big middle section), I don't know why it design so wide, I'm using Nikon D700 and D7000 and no one of them would be fit as it shows on most of the pictures. I put them sidewise and it works. My 80-200 fits vertically – great news! Thanks for almost cubical shape of photo compartment –now it works! I squeeze rest of my gear just for fun of first field trip:16mm fisheye, 20mm, 50mm, 300mm and a flash, extra batteries of course. I don't need all of it most of the time, but it was worst to try! Tripod outside and here you go – pretty heave sack for carry around. Normally I'm taking only two lenses and one body – I'm not a pro, I just like photography that's all. After three days of hiking I can tell – it is great backpack! I have no regrets.

Great quality, great construction, room for nearly everything you can imagine. I have a lot of gear and wanted something that would hold a laptop and some clothes along with all my photo gear and this does that and then some. It's not heavy and feels good when you're wearing the pack.

I am using the backback as I hike in the mountains. At this time of year the weather changes constantly. The large size works great for carrying extra clothing while keep my camera gear protected. I've also got room to carry a netbook along with the hydration bladder. The best part is that I can adjust it to my toros length. I am very short waisted and had no problems adjusting it.

Comments about Clik Elite Large Hiker Backpack (Gray):

I bought this Bag to use for school, occasional travel, and hiking. First off the build quality is excellent, the ballistic nylon very durable and water resistant. It also has a bunch of useful exterior storage options for camping gear like sleeping pads or a sleeping bag. For my purposes the bag has way more than enough room for all my gear including one gripped Nikon D90 w/35mm lens, Nikon F100 w/50mm lens, SB-600 flash, sigma 70-200. For the top compartment I carry my 15" laptop and a few books and folders with room to put my jacket in too. Ergonomics of this bag are really good I have no problem walking around all day with this bag. For some people this bag may be to large, but Clik Elite offers many smaller bags that I would assume would be just as nice at this great bag.

This pack was better than expected. It is very wel made, and has plenty of room for geat and cargo: I often put my laptop in a bag and then put that in the top compartment of this bag. I have and like backpacks from JANDD, and like this one even more. Definitely worth the money.

Comments about Clik Elite Large Hiker Backpack (Gray):

Now that I have put 50+ trail miles on this pack I feel comfortable writing a quick review. This pack is beefy(hence the weight)and has more than enough gear space for long day hikes. In fact I have carried food, rain jackets, water, along with my camera gear on 6+ hours hikes with my family of 4.If you are into backpacking and have light/compact gear you can also use this pack. This is my setup for a short trip [@]Cons...The strap for the tripod needs to be a few inches higher.Water bladder holder is pretty much useless. I have never been a fan of keeping water so close to my camera so I may have a biased opinion. Typically I just carry a nalgene and water filter to save on weight.

Comments about Clik Elite Large Hiker Backpack (Gray):

I used this pack last weekend loaded up to a total weight of 30 lbs on a 12 mile hike. It proved to be comfortable for the whole day. The bag does weigh in at 7lbs though so it does make for a heavy load with all your gear although it carries very well. It has ample room for a day trip or with careful packing a few day excursion. I would have like a slightly larger main compartment to hold all my supplies, but it holds a decent amount of gear. The camera compartment has plenty of room for my gear and if you wanted to go on a longer trip you could even stuff some camping gear down there. Plenty of pockets and straps for your gear. Just know that it will not hold a 70 oz camelback bladder. I bought the 70 oz insulated platypus from MSR and it fits great. Plus the insulated bag prevents any condensation so it's a bonus for my camera gear. One thing I definitely recommend is the SLR chest pack so you can access your camera quickly. Otherwise you will have to take off the bag every time you want to shoot. The two bags worked great together. Overall a great product for the backcountry photographer.
