Comments about Apple 17" MacBook Pro Notebook Computer:
I mainly use this macbook pro for recording audio and video, and creating DVDs and other videos for the web. I also use it for Photoshop and email/web browsing. It's a fast computer but not as fast as my desktop which is a quad core intel juiced up to 3.61Mhz. As expected, OS-X is rock solid and I can work without worrying about crashes or viruses. The hi-res screen is good, and the pixels are indeed very small which helps on the hi-definition display of images. I have two 30" monitors at 2560x1600 on my desktop but the mac display pixels are smaller, so the perceived quality is higher on this laptop. What is not so great is the lack of a delete key, but with an external wired mac keyboard that problem is solved. Also, it gets HOT if used on my lap (it's a LAPtop isn't it?) or over any surface that doesn't dissipate heat well.

Looks great and is fast. As a longtime Windows PC user it is great to use a PC the doesn't show me an hour glass every time I want to do something.
