Small and light weight it was a great choice to use with my netbook. One thing to mention is that it used two USB ports and the supplied cable is not very long, so both USB ports would need to be on the same side of you PC. It may be worth checking!!

Very nice little optical drive. I purchased it for my new Asus Eee 1005HA in matching white. This is truly a slimline R/W unit. It runs smooth and quiet. The unit is powered via the USB bus. One connection is required to play a movie or load programs, but it is suggested that the two power cords (they are a pigtail) be connected to the netbook if writing to a CD/DVD. That's not a problem at all, as the Eee has three USB ports. It's a plug-n-play device.

The power cord is rather short (18"), however, I find that a nice feature when operating the Eee and drive in a confined space, such as a vehicle or airline seat.

It fits perfectly on the stand that is provided, albeit I prefer to just lay it flat. The drive requires very little room in my netbook case. I've used it to install programs on the netbook and have tested one DVD movie....functions like a charm. The device requires very little energy from the netbook battery. You will not be disappointed.
