The Gitzo Series 3 6X Tripod/Head Video Kit is designed as an ultra-sturdy video tripod, with a rated load capacity of 39.7 lbs (18 kg) at a height of up to 58.7" (149 cm). It includes the Series 3 Fluid Video Head with a 75mm Bowl Adapter--which makes it compatible with all video heads featuring a 75mm half-ball base (it's designed for DV and ENG cameras). This adapter can be removed and replaced with other accessories, making this a fully customizable system. The head also has several key features for video--separate pan-and-tilt locks, variable fluid drag controls for smooth repeatable actions, and a perfect balancing system. The counterbalance system is adjustable--six interchangeable springs cover camera weights from 2 to 22 pounds (1 to 10 kg). The tripod accepts a range of interchangeable center columns for normal use, heavy cameras or video work. This is a versatile, lightweight, highly functional compact location tripod for video or still photography.

: • Safe Grip is a material used on the quick release plate that gives a safer lock between your camera and the head plate, preventing the camera from moving or slipping

: • With a ball head, the ability to lock and unlock the panoramic movement independent of front-back or lateral tilt movements is essential for a high level of control, especially in panoramic photography

: • The double quick-release safety system consists of two pins, one fixed and one manually operated by means of a button, that prevent camera equipment from suddenly dropping out of the head when the quick release locking knob is released--extremely useful with heavy equipment, long lenses and spotting scopes

The G1380 "Fluide" video head, is specifically designed to balance the wide range of new DV, DVCAM and light ENG cameras with payloads from 2.2 to 22 lbs.
Features separate pan and tilt, variable fluid drag control to produce smooth and repeatable movement without detachable stops and starts. A separate pan and tilt lock is included. The sliding camera plate, which balances the cameras, can be rapidly engaged or disengaged with the camera from the head. Incorporates a safety release to prevent the camera accidentally falling off.
The FLUIDE has a factory fitted balance spring available in 6 versions, which cover the weights of today's digital and lightweight ENG cameras. (2.2, 4.4, 11, 17.6, 19.8 and 22 lbs. rated springs)

• Perfect Balance with Interchangeable Springs

The G1380 Fluide pan & tilt head achieves the perfect counter balance by means of an innovative and unique interchangeable spring balance mechanism, allowing the use of a variety of camcorders with different payloads. This allows the heads to tilt through the full range of ±85: in perfect balance. Eliminating a considerable amount of physical effort required by the operator to control the tilting action.
The balancing mechanism is both compact and lightweight - vital in ENG production where head size and weight are key benefits in flexibility, handling and portability.

• Pan and Tilt Drag Control

Features a progressive, stiction free drag, where the torque is provided from a sliding contact between dissimilar surfaces. The variable drag is adjusted to provide a non-linear torque speed characteristic, which allows "whip pan" movements.

• Quick Setup

Unique design features allow fast setup - a must if you are continuously on the move. The leveling bowl has a double threaded screw shank, which allows the bowl lock to be tightened and released quickly. Very handy when you are constantly adjusting the bowl to level the camera (especially on uneven terrain).

The Gitzo GT3531LSV Systematic 6X Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs is a two-stage video tripod that uses advanced "Carbon 6X" carbon fiber material for its leg construction. This improved tubing is stronger, lighter and as resistant as its 12 layer predecessor. Carbon "6X" is manufactured using a complex, 3-D process weaving 6 layers of carbon fiber into smooth, solid constructed tubes.
The GT3531LSV is designed as an ultra-sturdy video tripod. Its rated load capacity is 39.7 lbs, and it includes the GS5320V75 75mm Bowl Adapter which makes it compatible with all video heads featuring a 75mm half ball base. This adapter can be removed and replaced with other accessories, making this a fully customizable system.

• Anti-Rotation Leg (ALR) System

The Anti-Rotation Leg (ALR) system makes it quick and easy to open and close the tripod. Simply turn all of the locking rings at once and the whole leg can be pulled out in seconds.

• G-Lock Design

The G-Lock mechanism has been completely redesigned in order to achieve a 20% increase in rigidity, faster operation and stronger, safer locking. G-Lock's special design also provides a "gravity lock" effect: the higher the load applied vertically to the leg, the stronger the lock.

Gitzo was able to develop a six-crossed multilayer carbon fiber 30% lighter than the previous 1.5mm generation that features the same exceptional performance of stability and vibration absorption and unbeatable quality.
