The Gitzo Series 3 6X Tripod/Head Video Kit is designed as an ultra-sturdy video tripod, with a rated load capacity of 22 lbs (10 kg) at a height of up to 58.7" (149 cm). It includes the Series 3 Fluid Video Head with a 75mm Bowl Adapter--which makes it compatible with all video heads featuring a 75mm half-ball base (it's designed for DV and ENG cameras). This adapter can be removed and replaced with other accessories, making this a fully customizable system. The head also has several key features for video--separate pan-and-tilt locks, variable fluid drag controls for smooth repeatable actions, and a perfect balancing system. The counterbalance system is adjustable--six interchangeable springs cover camera weights from 2 to 22 pounds (1 to 10 kg). The tripod accepts a range of interchangeable center columns for normal use, heavy cameras or video work. This is a versatile, lightweight, highly functional compact location tripod for video or still photography.
- Safe Grip is a material used on the quick release plate that gives a safer lock between your camera and the head plate, preventing the camera from moving or slipping
- With a ball head, the ability to lock and unlock the panoramic movement independent of front-back or lateral tilt movements is essential for a high level of control, especially in panoramic photography
- The tripod's 75mm bowl adapter (which makes the tripod compatible with all video heads featuring a 75mm half-ball base) is treated with PTFE for ultra smooth and fluid operation--this adapter can be removed and replaced with other accessories, making this a fully customizable system
- A new leveling system consisting of three independent leveling bubbles on the quick release plate and one in the ball stem, guarantees perfectly leveled images
- The double quick-release safety system consists of two pins, one fixed and one manually operated by means of a button, that prevent camera equipment from suddenly dropping out of the head when the quick release locking knob is released--extremely useful with heavy equipment, long lenses and spotting scopes
- The anti-rotation leg system makes it quick and easy to open and close the tripod by simply turning all of the locking rings in any order, and pulling the leg out--in seconds
- The G-Lock mechanism has been redesigned for a 20% increase in rigidity, faster operation and stronger, safer locking--the special design also provides a "gravity lock" effect: the higher the load, the stronger the lock
- The new six-crossed multilayer carbon fiber is 30% lighter than the previous 1.5 mm generation, and it features the same exceptional performance of stability, vibration absorption and unbeatable quality
- Performance design allows the legs to be set individually at 24°, 55° and 90° to achieve any angle you need
