The Sony Cybershot DSC-TX1 Digital Camera is packed with new technology and features which allow it to boast major improvements in low-light photography. With the new "Exmor R" back-illuminated CMOS sensor technology, performance improves shooting in low-light scenarios, enhancing image clarity and drastically reducing grain, creating amazingly clear, vibrant photos. Sony's "Exmor R" image sensors can gather more light, resulting in approximately twice the sensitivity compared to conventional sensors.
To further extend low-light shooting performance, the DSC-TX1 incorporates Hand-held Twilight and Anti-motion Blur, and Multi-shot Modes. Using "Exmor R" CMOS sensor's high speed, these modes capture six separate images in less than a second and utilize Sony's BIONZ processor to combine the shots into a single image of extraordinary detail and low noise.
The DSC-TX1 is made for an audience that wants advanced technology in a compact design. With a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, it lets users focus in at as little as 0.4 inches from a subject for extraordinary close-up shots. The 4x telescopic zoom is perfect for capturing far-away subjects, and Sony's Optical SteadyShot image stabilization helps overcome camera shake. In the Sweep Panorama mode the camera shoots continuously while you sweep across the scene and then automatically stitches the pictures together to create one stunning panoramic photo.
The TX1 features a new operation on the touch panel that lets you scroll through images with an effortless "flick" of your finger and directly access menus on the 3-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus display. With its slim profile of just 0.64-inch (16.5mm), the 10.2 mega-pixel DSC-TX1 offers streamlined, distinguished curves for a sophisticated look appealing to the fashion-oriented who are also looking for great performance.

Comments about Sony DSC-TX1 Cybershot Point & Shoot Digital Camera (Blue):
I love the portability of my Sony Cybershot DSC-TX1: it's small, fits in most of my pockets, does not attract too much attention to pick pockets (for when I travel abroad). The video and photo images are sharp even at night without grain, the colors vivid, and another great bonus: the audio does NOT have a buzzing sound from within the camera, making the audio of the video perfect! I also love the touch screen options. Makes switching from photo to video easy and fast! I'm sure there are more things I love about the camera, but these are my top favorites!
The only shortcoming of this camera is the limited zoom. It doesn't zoom in far, and can't control the speed of the zoom...it zooms in and out at the same speed and stops suddenly when it reaches it's limit or when you stop zooming. I would prefer a smoother controlled zooming option.

Comments about Sony DSC-TX1 Cybershot Point & Shoot Digital Camera (Blue):
I purchased the camera to bring to my family reunion. It's so small, I was able to bring the battery charger and connecting cables all in one little case. Now, I bring it to the bar and out to dinner in the smallest of clutches. It's awesome!
The battery lasts a really long time and the pictures are fantastic.
The only critique is that it's a little too sleek. I hadn't put the strap on it yet and my mom dropped it while inspecting my new purchase! Slippery little sucker! But it's quite hardy too, no damage.

I bought the camera for my wife, I have had my chance to play with it. I am impressed with the way it is laid out on the screen. The touch screen is easy to use and the 3" screen is very nice. I will tell my friends about the cybershot camera.
Comments about Sony DSC-TX1 Cybershot Point & Shoot Digital Camera (Blue):
The performance of the camera is much better than I expected, easy to use menu helps you to explore the camera without reading the user's manual
You don't even have to worry about the fine tunings while taking pictures, the camera does everything on behalf of you
Couple words about the design: more than chic, more than elegant...
