Works well with Vivitar 285HV with Alkaline or Lithium batteries. Does not work at all with Vivitar 285HV using NiMH batteries. Unfortunately I like to use NiMH battteries because they are rechargeable.

This slave is advertised to specifically work with the Vivitar 285. It does not work with new production Vivitar 285HV. It may well work with the older production model Vivitar 285. It may need a higher voltage than the new model produces.
