The ADCSHR2412P Super High Resolution camera from American Dynamics features comprehensive surveillance capabilities that are well-suited to all general surveillance situations. Well proportioned at less than 5 inches in length and 2.5 inches in width and height, the camera is also relatively light weight at just 1.3 lbs (600g). In addition, it operates in a wide range of temperature from -10 to 50°C, including high humidity of up to 90%. The camera is therefore an unobtrusive and sturdy camera that can fit discretely into small corners and can be used in nearly all typical operating conditions.
The stand-out feature of the camera is its ability to adjust to various light conditions due to its mechanical infrared filter - without manual adjustments. Providing good quality color imaging in typical light conditions such as day time or bright illumination; the camera automatically switches to monochrome images in low light conditions by moving the infra red filter. Effectively, clear images or video is obtained whether it is light or shade. Further the IR filter operates either automatically or manually.
With its 1/3rd inch high resolution color digital CCD array, the camera provides a resolution of 540 TV lines - adequate for surveillance purposes. In fact, the larger active pixel count available due to the CCD array - 768 (H) x 494 (V) for NTSC and 752 (H) x 582 (V) for PAL - helps provide sharper images. In the manual mode, the camera provides AGC (automatic gain control) to assure standard quality images under various light conditions. In addition the camera offers 3 modes of White Balance adjustments to compensate for the range of lighting sources and conditions, thus resulting in optimal color reproduction. The overall result due to these features is a well defined, clear and true quality image or video output under all light conditions.
The camera provides a video output that is optimized either for an analog CRT monitor or a digital LCD monitor and generates a reasonable quality video output under all conditions. Typically, all settings are selectable via a menu, including the ability to set shutter speeds manually, backlight compensation, programming of menu display and other settings.
The camera can be powered by either 24VAC (+/-20%, 50/60Hz), 12VDC (+/-10%) or 230VAC (PAL only) and has a power consumption of a measly 4.8 watts.
Note! PAL camera, not compatible with USA TV systems
