I bring it everywhere with me. Its so small and convenient. The battery life is great, all the features work great. For the price its one of the biggest no brainers in history.

Plenty of memory (hard drive and ram). I know the intel atom isn't a dual core processor or their new line of processors, but it works just fine. Keyboard is a little tight with my sausage fingers, but again, it is meant to be that way. Extreemely compact and light.

Definitely recommend it!

The Aspire One 250 from Acer is a great little machine. Don't let the detractors say it isn't powerful enough.

For the money, this is a light fast (not warp speed) and powerful netbook.

Have had no problems with graphics, photos, online video or any standard MS Office docs.

I even have done some light audio processing with it. For Web surfing, email, office documents, looking at photos, etc. this is the netbook for you.

Sound from speakers and small screen are my only minor complaints. But then again my desktop comp. has large monitor speakers and a a 20" display.

This was purchased for my son so he could use it away from his desktop. It's surprisingly fast for an "Atom" machine and setup quickly with no problems. He's elated. My daughter has a 1 year old Acer Aspire One and she uses it for college class note taking and seldom uses her full-size HP laptop, but still uses her desktop (w/23" monitor) since there's no substitute for large screen size and power when you have critical computing.

We bought the netbook for our daughter to use as a commuting college student.The small size is great and I am amazed at how long the battery life is.We knew it would not have a dvd drive but that has not been an issue with the abundance of usb ports for flash drives etc.The keyboard will take a little getting used to but she is already adapting to it.Plan on using the built in wi-fi at school.

Very small and portable. Like the web cam, Wi-Fi and how thin unit is. Battery life is not great. Bought this for my 9 y/o daughter so that she could play on the Webkinz website. BIG mistake! Screen is to small for the site. Tried to reconfigure screen but to no avail. Seems I am not the only one out there. The web was full of complaints about this model and the Webkinz site not being compatible! That is the only site my daughter visits and it was a real bummer that the computer is now useless to her.

This netbook is very handy as a secondary computer. It is small which makes it convenient but it also means it has a small screen with very small lettering and pictures. It would not be a good primary computer. Great for travel.

My wife uses the notbook at work in her private practice. The size is great to travel with. It's hardly the size of a large text book. I just bought one for my daughter to use also. They can share the external cd-rom drive. I may upgrade to 2Gb but no noticable performance issues for regualr work.

Great item for the value. I can work while im on away from the office, and basically my needs are internet and Microsoft Office. The only thing which can be better is the 3 cell battery. But thats why there is versions with 6 cell. For me 3 cell version is quite enough.

I bought this notebook for travelling purpose. It has great display, sound is DOLBY digital when heard with a headphone. Has a great web cam with ultimate clearity. In all, it was a good deal for me.

I bought this a few days ago and I am very satisfied with this product.

Even if I generally dislike Intel processors, I must say that the Atom bundled with this netbook is doing a pretty good job. The 1GB RAM is sufficient, but the graphics memory is not that great and so if you want to run some graphics-intensive programs this netbook is not for you (however probably any netbook is not for you, they are not designed for this sort of thing).

Also, for Linux fans, I must say that this computer has a very good compatibility with Linux, I am running ArchLinux on this and it works very well.

Another point which I like very much is the harddrive; even if its not the fastest I've seen, it's very good for a netbook and provides good contrast from the horribly small SSDs. The storage gives this computer a million other uses than you could achieve with a 16GB SSD for example.

The keyboard is small, but that was expected and for its size I think it's very well optimized.

I would definitively recommend this to a friend.

It is a great netbook, as we know is an small computer with specifications of a medium size computer. It allows to the costumer get in touch with their company wherever they were located. It is an exelent computer to get online and make simple works but it has a low grafic memory so you can´t use programs as autocad or similars.

We bought this netbook for our son-in-law for a birthday present. Since I am not using it myself I can only go by the information he is providing to me.

So far he is very happy. of course he misses the optical drive but that is what you give up for the small size, and I have an external one which he borrowed to install some software he wanted.

I picked the Acer over the others they had on sale because the sales rep in the store, who was very helpful, pointed out that at the price point this was in his opinion the best unit. I have had Acer computers before, in fact my first PC was an Acer, and they have come a long way. I had actually been planning on buying a Lenovo Ideapad but they were out of them. I have the Lenovo netbook and this one compares very favorably.

One thing I like is the large hard disk. I am not a fan of small solid state drives on some netbooks. Yes you can download to an external drive but who wants to bother with that all the time?

The computer is very beautifully finished, the battery life is really good and it just looks cool. Of course he is having a little problem getting used to the smaller keyboard but that is just natural. All in all a great buy.
