The Barco R9004617 ECU-1 is the Encore Control Unit. It work with the Encore GC to give a Graphical User Interface to Encore system operations. The Encore Control Unit (ECU), which interfaces easily with other control systems also provides standalone time line functionality for completely independent operations.

- Input, background/DSK, and output setup are just some of the unit's control parameters
- Backup and restore support is included
- This unit supports widescreen format
- Multiple destination support is available with a single preset
- Layer (size and position) control are also supported
- Frame store support is a standard feature
- The unit includes built-in effects such as freeze and Z-order
- The unit can be configured for split or mix mode functions
- Multiple & single destinations can be programmed
- This device features stack mode support
- It can be used with third-party remote controls, such as Crestron, AMX, and Medialon
- The unit supports up to 160 presets
- Luma keying functionality is available
- This device also features auto-preset conflict resolution
