Exactly the extra bit of protection I needed for my HD. The only "complaint" is that with the rugged cover on my HD, it would stick a little as I was trying to get it to slip into the case. Maybe it added 5 seconds to my ordeal but if you're doing it multiple times daily it could get a little annoying. I use it for traveling so its really no big deal.

I've only owned this case for a couple of weeks, so I can't comment on how sturdy it is long-term, but it seems fine so far. It's hard enough that I'd feel comfortable packing this in a bag, and it has a nice webbed pocket inside for keeping cables separate. I bought it for a Western Digital elements drive, and it's a little big for that, but not bad.
The zipper is a little fussy, because the two rows of zipper teeth can sometimes roll away from each other and back across the case.
I'm not a fan of the red color, but it's easier to find it if it isn't black...

This is a good generic hard drive case with padding. I wish it was a little bit smaller. I like the inside pocket with elastic band to keep the cable.

It is difficult to put my LaCie hard drive under the elastic thread which holds the hard drive. The elastic appears to be too tight. I didn't return it however because there no other matching options for my hard drive. Also the design is nice.

this case is perfect for my Seagate freeagent go flex. great for when i go on road trips or fly . it holds the hd ans well as the usb cord i have for it. could also fit a flash card reader if needed. has memory foam padding A plus.
