SureFire illumination tools are recognized around the world for delivering maximum power in a minimal form-factor. Their flawless high-output beams, exceptional quality, and extreme durability qualify them as force-multipliers that could temporarily blind, unbalance, and disorient a threat.
Faster than speeding bullets, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings with a single bound - it's the LX2 LumaMax!!
OK, back to reality - basically, the LX2 LumaMax is a super illumination tool that not only replaces the venerable L2, it surpasses its performance on every level. With 15 very useful lumens on low, and a blazing 200 lumens on high - the LX2 is well suited for tactical and general applications. It's an all-around performer with enough punch to satisfy the most discerning of users.
One exceptionally nice feature of the LX2 is its ability to access max-output without having to click through the low setting - just push the button all the way and 200 lumens of blinding white light comes streaming out - that's right, you guessed it - faster than a speeding bullet!
Built to last, the LX2 is not a generic hardware store look-alike light - it's the real deal. This illumination tool is tough, waterproof, and it won't let you down. The aluminum housing is hard-anodized for serious wear-resistance, and it's o-ring sealed for true waterproof performance. The crenellated bezel allows enough light to spill out to read a map or a note when the light is face-down - it's also an effective visual deterrent when facing an attacker. Hopefully you'll never need to prove how tough the LX2 is - but it's good to know that it'll be ready if you do.

After reading the reviews, I anticipated that the LX2 would be good. However, I didn't expect it to be this good. For its size, the power is phenominal and it's so easy to have it on you or around you. A great product.

Comments about Surefire LX2 LumaMax LED Flashlight (OD Green):
This is the ONLY light I could find that combines a low "task light" setting, a high "things hits the fan" setting, and simple operation with no need to memorize quirky modes/timing procedures. Use the low light for saving power and not ruining your night vision when you wake up in the middle of the night; use the high for signaling or when attacker wakes you up in middle of the night. Four simple modes. For momentary on, push end-cap in lightly for low; press it harder for high light. For constant-on low, twist the end-cap and it stays on low; for high, twist farther and it stays on high. That's it. Four modes. No clicking 3 times to enter this mode or that, no timing to deal with, no cycling through modes to get the one you want -- just INTUITIVE push or twist, or push harder or twist farther. Perfect for panic situation when your instinct is to push hard (max bright) and your brain or fine motor skills won't be working well.

Comments about Surefire LX2 LumaMax LED Flashlight (OD Green):
One of the smallest but brightest LED lights on the market. Top quality construction.
Four instead of Five stars for the following reasons:
I'd like the button to be able to turn it on and stay on instead of twisting the cap. You have to twist it to turn off and that could possibly cause it to come off if you go too far.
And the belt clip is too long and rubs the cap when you twist it.
Otherwise, I love it. Just ordered the headlight which is always on back order.

Comments about Surefire LX2 LumaMax LED Flashlight (OD Green):
I use this flashlight when camping, to illuminate remote things (wildlife, etc). For other uses I have a SureFire Saint Minimus headlamp (also great).
As other Surefire products, LX2 is of a superb quality. At 200 lumens, it is VERY bright. Another thing that I really like is how focused the beam is (unlike other flashlights, that have a wider-angle beam). This allows the 200 lumens to reach real far.

Extremely bright light
Tailcap is screwed in and out to turn constant beam on or off. Tailcap becomes loose as it is unthreaded to turn the light off.

Blindingly bright, nicely machined with no sharp edges. I own two of these.
Buy the Surefire 123A batteries so you will have them when the included batteries need replacing. You can buy the same size battery anywhere, however those are for cameras and other devices that use energy in pulses. Surefire batteries are high-drain for constant-on use.
The only holster is the V91, and it is black nylon.
Comments about Surefire LX2 LumaMax LED Flashlight (OD Green):
The new Surefire LX2 flashlight packs a powerful punch in a small package. Built to last forever. You can put it in your pocket or wear it light up or light down with the 2 way clip. This is a great buy!
