This is a must have if you already own or want to purchase a ONE. It is an integral part of recording. At first I figured I could make something to hold the One as I recorded to save the money. I did, and it kinda worked. But eventually I gave up on my 'Jimmy-rigged' version and bought a real one for my own. I've never regretted it. It holds the One secure and is easy to maneuver.

Well, product is as advertised. Mounts sturdily to regular threaded mount on mic stand easily. Holds the ONE perfectly, and at whatever angle I need it to. Seems well built, heavy duty plastic, and whatever it takes to get the ONE off my desk and out of harms' way, seems a-ok to me...A definate must for using the ONE..Especially when using the built-in mic......

This is a very handy and, for me, necessary part of my mobile recording rig. I do wish it came bundled with the One, but never mind. It's a perfect fit and attaches easily to any standard mic stand or boom.

Having taken a look at the desktop One stand, the only thing I can't figure out from the photos is how the One mic mount actually attaches to that desktop stand, since that looks more like a camera mount.....

Bottom line: annoying to have to purchase separately but definitely worth it.

Great product, really helps obtain better recording sound with the internal mic as well as easier use with the input. The only downside to this product is that it does not hold super tight, so if a tug comes on the device, it can fall out. [...] Would most definitely recommend this product and this company.

I use the One to record predominantly acoustic guitar and vocals and have found that it's been the best purchase I've made since I got an Apple and Logic. The sound is clear and crisp, it's easy to use and the resulting sound is leaps and bounds better than I could have hoped for. The setup is easy and fast and I was up and running right away. For [$] dollars, the quality is easily as good as systems costing twice that and more. In fact it's so good that you have to be careful to make sure everything in the house is off because it'll pick up everything.The only three hitches I can think of are that a., it is not compatible with PCs, only Apples, but then again, so is Logic and b., the mic mount (about $20), something one would think would be in the box must be purchased separately. I found one at a site that deals with photography supplies primarily and there was no shipping costs, and lastly c., is that if you are running Logic, you'll have to Google something like 'Apogee One Logic' to find the video tutorial to set it up with Logic, but that only took a couple of minutes to do.I haven't used it for anything other than home recording, although I read in various forums that some were wondering how it would work playing out live. I can't really speak to that.Do the research; Gearsluts forums were my primary source of opinions on the One. Then judge for yourself. Honestly, if you take the chance and try it, you won't be sorry.

I use this for my portable system. I also purchased a mini mic clip to hold this unit. Keeps it ready and in front of me for quick access.
