Comments about Leica Eveready Case (Mocha):
It's classy looking, it's sturdy and the D-Lux 5 fits nicely.
It can be a pain as well. The case is made in two pieces, you fit the bottom piece on the camera and then you fit the top piece on and then using the tripod screw, you screw them both in together.
Every time you need to change the battery or transfer you photos you have to take both pieces of the case off and I find that to be a pain.
Neck strap is permanently attached to the bottom portion of the case.
I would love this case if it were like the old time cases. Screw the bottom portion into the camera and then the top portion you just span on and off as needed. I would also rather not have the neck strap permanently attached to the case. I would prefer to use my own neck strap and not be limited to have to use the neck strap permanently attached. I would also like it better if I could reach the memory card and battery without having to take the entire case apart.
I have been shooting with the entire case attached to the camera, (it flips open nicely, it's just that it can get in the way of the lens) I just have to be sure that the top portion is tucked away otherwise it becomes part of the picture. I think as the leather wears it will become softer and automatically drop when you open the case to shoot. The bottom portion makes a nice handgrip eliminating the need to buy a grip.
You need to be careful and always make sure the case is screwed tightly to the camera because the neck strap is part of the case. If the screw were to become undone the camera could fall, I don't like this either. Again if I could remove the case strap I could them use my own camera strap and would feel a little more confident that the camera is really secure.
I would suggest a redesign of this case.

A perfect fit for the D-lux5, nice magnetic closure. Must remove stock straps to fit case, but utilize leather straps of this case. Just gotta always check the locking screw to make sure it doesn't get loose or your cam may fall out/off. Very nice quality leather.

Extremely well made. Many comments from friends and strangers. Easily convert to a half case. I had a great experience buying from B&H Photo.

Comments about Leica Eveready Case (Mocha):
This case, in my opinion, was the best investment I could have made for my Leica dlux 4 camera. 3 main reasons why I love this case: 1. The case is beautiful, with it's super cool vintage old school design, in a creamy soft chocolate brown leather. I've been stopped so many times by people wanting to admire my little camera and it's "eye candy" case. As I said... a very retro "what does she have in there" kind of attention grabber. 2. Besides it's obvious beauty, it's a protective case, both when your camera is being stored, while you are walking around with it strapped to your neck, as well as while you are actually shooting. I leave my case attached to my camera ALWAYS. The flip open back has the added bonus of acting like a bit of light shield when trying to view the LCD screen in bright light situations. 3. My favorite feature: the case doubles as a grip, perfectly! We've all heard about how small this camera is. The d lux 4's size and sleek design can make it easily prone to slipping out of your fingers while in use. You can purchase the optional grip created by Leica, but in my opinion this Leica Eveready Case makes the perfect grip, AND keeps your camera looking oh so stylish and well protected too. I figured I've already splurged on the amazing dlux 4, why not go the extra mile to protect it with some intelligent bling bling. PS. The rumor is these little cases are in limited edition production. I couldn't be happier with mine.

Comments about Leica Eveready Case (Mocha):
Beautifully soft but durable chocolate-color leather. Comfortable strap on the shoulder, and long enough. And nicely engraved Leica logo on front. Now you will always have the camera with you, and it will become your best camera. A must.
