The Surefire A2 LED Aviator Flashlight (Red) is a compact dual-output flashlight that provides two distinct beam types and optional output colors. It uses virtually indestructible power-regulated LED emitters and a precision micro-textured reflector to produce both spot and flood beams. The Aviator's tactically-correct two-stage pushbutton tailcap switch lets you instantly select an output level: press for a momentary-on long-runtime flood beam for general night use, close work, or where you need to preserve your night vision; press further for a momentary-on white spot beam...nearly six times the light of a big two-D-cell flashlight; twist for constant-on low, twist further for constant-on high.

I purchased this light to keep in my flight bag, primarily for night operations. As soon as I opened it up, I realized Surefire really outdid themselves for me once again.
The light comes with a nice lanyard to keep the light around your neck, and a clip you can attach to your seatbelt.
I was really impressed with the Dual Spectrum LED. I purchased the wht/red, and with the red, I can clearly read sectional charts, or find my way around a dark cockpit at night. The white is literally bright enough to land a small craft in the event of complete electrical failure. Enough said...
It's a pricey light, but IMO when it comes to something like this, you get what you pay for. This is my 7th Surefire, and I use 2 everyday. Surefire's customer services is second to none. ( I know from experience...)
