The armor serves its purpose. It has a tight fit and definitely provides protection, although I wouldn't test the extent of that protection by purposely dropping it on a concrete sidewalk. Personally I like the protection it provides from my hand while holding it for an extended period of time. In warm weather my hand will sweat and I don't like the moisture on my expensive camera. If there is a negative concerning the armor I would have to complain about the designated points of the armor for the function buttons operation. On the camera itself the buttons are identified with white letters or symbols. On the armor there are letters and symbols but they are not outlined with white. Black letters on a black background are not easily read, especially for the old folks like myself who does not have perfect vision. Also, and this is no big deal because I plan to get a bigger camera case, but I currently have a camera case that conforms to the shape of the camera. Prior to the armor the D90 fit perfectly but snugly. With the armor it fits a little too tight. Overall I really like the armor. It not only protects the camera from hand moisture and minor bumps and scraps but it also makes the camera look even cooler than it already looks. Bonus!

Although I only give it a three star this is actualy a good product when in a harsh envronment. It fits tight and protects the camera quite well and I actualy think it improves the look of the camera. Just for everyday use it does add quite a bit of bulk to the camera that is not needed. If it was easier to get on and off then I would rater it a 4 or 4.5 but to put on and off all the time going from a studio or indoor setting ot outdoors I can't see myself using it all the time unless I think I'll be trecking throught he bush. Also the tab covering the flash flips up when camera is put into a bag and hold the pop up flash down just enough that it might not fire every time.

Comments about Camera Armor:
It is a sturdy glove for the camera (in my case Nikon D90), however, it is bulky, won't fit the camera case and in rainy weather you have no protection as it does not protect the lens. If you want to switch between the Camera Armor and the case, you have to undo the strap and redo it. Not an on the spot change. Also, in dark or dusk environment, unless you have memorized where each button is, you can not read the engraved signs. It is an OK product but not a must have.

I find that I use this lots more then the camera cases that came with my other camers and it offers far better protection and faster access then my leather camera cases. I usually throw my gear behind my truck seat for quick access. It helps keep the sand out of the buttons when out photographing sunsets and I do not have to worry about wet hands when using my camera.

Comments about Camera Armor:
I like to take pictures while I am hunting, I hunt in the southern river bottoms and find that I take more pictures than I hunt. Camera Armor takes some of the stress out of my experience. Its great protection for the camera - only little hitch and I can fix it is that the flash sticks sometimes when it should pop right up.

Comments about Camera Armor:
Since I got this product, it has been on my camera. It improves the grip, the looks, and especially gives extra protection from any bumps. For an expensive DSLR camera this is a very good cheap insurance in an effective way. I like how my camera is protected with the rubber that hugged right in every angle and yet made every buttons and controls accessible. There are some parts that needs an extra push for the button function in which it is expected since it is covered with the thick rubber that protects the camera. I like the rugged look since I am an outdoors person. The only thing that is unusable for me is that extra rubber for the lens that doesn't fit on every lens that I got. Having it off doesn't bother me since I know that my camera is still protected.

Comments about Camera Armor:
The Camera Armor fits great on my NIKON D90. It improves the grip of my camera. Makes the camera body more protected from dings and scratches. The rubber has a good thickness to it for protection and the battery is easy to load even with the Armor guard on. Material used is pliable and not stiff which makes it hug better to the contours of the camera body. The price is affordable [...]The downside that I can see is the rubber that is supposed to go on my lens. I have different size lenses so taking it off and putting it on other lens doesn't make sense. I have lens hood on my lenses so this doesn't work for me. Some controls is harder to press which is expected due to the thickness of the rubber but yet still functional. All in all I would still get this again if ever I have another camera that needs protection.

Comments about Camera Armor:
It fits decently well. Overall am pleased. Some nit-picky things: the opening for the A/M focus is slightly too small. You need to know what each of the buttons are/ where they are since they're harder to find with the cover on. Protects my camera without too much bulkiness which is exactly what I was looking for.

Comments about Camera Armor:
I love the Camera Armor for the body of my camera. It helps with the gripping of the camera. The only problem I have is the armor that goes on the lens doesn't work for my camera lens (zoom lens). If I had a standard 50mm lens, it would be perfect!

Comments about Camera Armor:
I bought this 'just in case', I expected to use it only when I wanted to bring my camera to a rugged place, like a nature reserve or something. But I haven't removed it after the first time! It's a really nice fit.
The armor makes the D90 grip larger, so if you have big hands this would work great. It also makes the camera appear larger than it actually is!
The only problem, you have to remove the straps to put the armor on, so if you're planning to repeatedly wear and remove the armor, it will be troublesome.
Also, the AE-L button is pretty hard to push with the armor on, all other buttons work perfectly though.

I do a lot of outdoors photography, this is great
protection against bumps and scrapes.I'had it
in the past for my D80 camera and loved it. This
one for my D90 goes one step better by adding a
bottom plate. I was sceptical of this plate until
I recieved the product & used it in the field and
I have found it a welcome addition. I have large
hands and I find the slight addition of size to
the camera a welcome addition along with the
fantastic grip that doesn't change with mosture
from swet or water. All controls & battery & memory card are easy to access even with the bottom plate on.

Comments about Camera Armor:
Pretty cool to have if you're doing outdoor photography and need to put your camera on the floor at time to make adjustments on your lights setup. the lens part is not useful at all. It doesn't fit right due to the lens hood that comes with the camera, and if you use it without the hood, you will get a round image and cant zoom out fully. the rubber part that goes over the flash will prevent it from coming out. also the buttons in covers are hard to press, but thats only natural. The good this is the shutter buton is not covered or the dials so you can shoot perfectly fine.other than that, it will protect your investment.

If you're like me, you're accustomed to products like this not fitting all that well. So I was really, really surprised by just how good it did fit, and that included lining up in all the right places. This armor is first rate. I'm planning a round-the-world motorcycle trip with the camera so it's got to be rugged. And I'm absolutely impressed with the quality of this product. I could only think of one thing to improve it, and that would be to paint the detents of the button icons in a phosphorescent white so that they'd be easier to read.

I have one for the D80, liked the grip, then got one for the D90.
This one for the D90 has a bottom cover, and a screw extension extender for the tripod, works with the Manafroto Quick release.
The only gripe I have, is the top flap I have that covers the hot shoe, hit's on the side of the flap with the pop up flash. Other than that I really like it.

Comments about Camera Armor:
I can't give it 5 stars because it's not really full protection from the elements. It only took 2 days to get used to using my aperture and other controls with the armor on, it's not a hindrance once you get used to it. Took it to the beach and when I removed the armor, very little sand was on the camera itself, the armor seemed to attract it. Nice for the money.
