The iHAP322 Internal PATA SuperAllwrite DVD Burner from Lite-ON is an internal PATA drive for Windows computers. It installs in an available 5.25" drive bay, and can read and write DVD and CD discs. It features Lite-On SmartErase and SMART-BURN technologies.
- SmartErase system features Quick Erase and Full Erase settings. Quick Erase only erases information stored in the lead-in area and data stored on the first track of a disc, allowing data recovery software to access data from parts of the disc that have not been overwritten. Full Erase completely overwrites a disc, ensuring that confidential data cannot be recovered
- Super AllWrite system supports writing to all kinds of CD and DVD media, including rewritable, dual layer, and DVD-RAM discs
- SMART-BURN technology adjusts the writing strategy and running OPC to provide the best burning quality, ensuring that you avoid Buffer Under Run errors

This product is very easy to install and it uses PATA as the connection format. I could not find this burner anywhere locally so I ordered it from here [...]. I have used this burner before and I like it very much. It's very cheap and works great and has awesome write speeds. Now the longest I have owned one of these drives was probably 5 months but that is because I burn a great amount of DVD's and they all come out great with very few coasters. If you burn a minimum amount of DVD's it will probably last you a lot longer. I would highly recommend this product to anyone!

Fast, quiet, works well but have discovered it has an issue writing DL Discs that can be recognized by DVD players. Tried several manufacturers same problem and the DL Discs are recognized if written by another writer so the issue is this writer. DVD intsalled eaily and worked well with the year old PC. The ROXIO Essentrials software that came with worked fine for copying one DVD to another. I had to download some free decoder software from the web to make it work with Windows media player.
