Comments about Nikon GP-1 CA10 10-Pin Cable for GP-1:
This cable was needed for the GP-1 to work with my Nikon D3s. I definitely recommend the CL1 camera strap clip.

Comments about Nikon GP-1 CA10 10-Pin Cable for GP-1:
Good that B&H had spare cable [...] for Nikon GP1 GPS device since the cable deteriorates quickly. But 25% of price of full device is expensive. This is not B&H's fault since they charge Nikon's price but Nikon had none in stock to buy directly.

Comments about Nikon GP-1 CA10 10-Pin Cable for GP-1:
Keep one of these in your bag if you have a GP-1. The cable sticks beyond the end of the camera and will get worn as you pull it in and out of the bag. At some point the wires will be damaged. Fortunately you only need one of these- a new cable instead of a new gps

This was a perfect match for my GP-1. After using this for so long the original cable finally broke and I was back up and working

Comments about Nikon GP-1 CA10 10-Pin Cable for GP-1:
My cable wore out on both ends in just over a year. The 10 pin connector sticks out to the left of the camera and constantly gets bent. I took it to Nikon before it wore out but they would not replace it. I reinforced it with some tape but eventually the other end (connected to the GP-1 unit) wore out and the exposed wires were actually broken. I don't use my camera on a daily basis and take the unit off when it's in my bag so in my opinion, this should not have happened. I'll buy another one since The GP-1 wasn't cheap but I hope this one is a little better....

Comments about Nikon GP-1 CA10 10-Pin Cable for GP-1:
Do not rest the camera on the GP-1 CA10 10-Pin Cable!
With the GP-1 connected to the hot-shoe, the cable (GP-1 CA10 10-Pin Cable for GP-1 by Nikon), when connected to the GP-1, sticks out to the left side of the camera (as viewed from the camera rear). If the camera is rested on that side, the cable is bent at both the GP-1 connection site and the connection with the camera. Repeated bending causes the wires within the cable to pull from it's connectors.
If the cable was designed so that the connectors were "L" shaped, the bending and breakage could be avoided.

Comments about Nikon GP-1 CA10 10-Pin Cable for GP-1:
This is the same cable that came with Nikon's GP-1 GPS unit as original equipment. The original cable wore out in less than a year. Nikon said it was no longer covered under its warranty. I hope this one lasts longer.
