This Pearstone Mini AC/DC Battery Charger is intended for use with the Canon LP-E6 rechargeable battery. Compact and lightweight, the charger features a red/green LED charge indicator light and a folding AC plug. A DC plug is included for use in a vehicle, and a Euro adapter is included for international use.

It works well as advertised. It is simpler than the first one that came with the camera, but was lost. Of course it might be on my desk under something. The light is red until the battery is charged then it changes to green. Considering the difference in price from the original replacement it is a real bargain and does what it is supposed to do. Hopefully everyone who buys this charger recieves as good a unit. One of the reviews said the battery connection was sloppy. This unit has a good fit to the battery. Of course this one has only been used once, but it will get a chance more in the next few weeks. Of course it doesn't have the Canon name on it. Dang it. It comes with a European plug adaptor and does not need a power cord as the plug is built in and swivels into the charger, which is sensible.

I bought this because the Canon brand is not in stock and I was in dire need of a 2nd charger. I have 24 pearstone nimh batts and 3 chargers. They are all good. For the price, it is a very good deal. It did what it is supposed to do. But quality wise, very questionable. It popped on my 2nd use and it was very hot. Good thing, it did not damaged my canon lp-e6. I'll just wait till the original Canon brand is available.

I used this for charging the batteries to my Canon 60D while I was on a camping trip. It was perfect because I could attach it to my car's outlet and got a full battery charge in a couple hours. I have only used it for about a week, but have no complaints so far.

It's nice backup for the real thing (or when you've forgot the original 5500 miles away). The cheap construction can not compare to the original. The battery charges but it's not as secure in the cradle as it should be. It runs very hot. Never charges to 100% but 99% is fine. All in all it's OK for a backup or use in a pinch. Car charger is a nice idea but I've not tried it and will probably not use it in that mode.

What you pay is what you get. I got this to use it along with my backpacking solar charger since it has that handy 12V car charger outlet. I'm still waiting for a good sunny day to test it however, I have used it in several occasions in the car. I have to say, it takes for ever to charge a single battery. Also, unlike the Canon battery charger, the Pearstone model doesn't have the multi charge indicator led. Instead, it only has the red and green light. Not a big deal but would be helpful.
The only problem I would like to stress on is that the battery slips off very easily from the holder. I have to use a rubber band to hold it in place.

This charger does not appear to be as well constructed as the Canon charger but it has worked well so far. The charging time is longer than the Canon charger but it offers12v DC charging which is a plus. It allows me to charge a second battery simultaneously so I'm glad I made the purchase.

The size of this is great, yes it is made of plastic, so it really isn't that durable, but then again, what charger is durable these days? I like that you can charge is from a 12v DC jack in a car. Very useful for shooting on the run.
For the price, there isn't much you can say bad about this little guy.

My original charger started failing to crank up the charge of a battery due to a malfunction in the swiveling outlet plug. This alternative is by far less expensive than the original replacement and is more compact, light, and comes with a convenient car lighter plug, as well as a 220V converter.
For long shoots outdoors, video and plain traveling, this the tool for continuous camera power.

I bought this as a backup and it's worked great. I was especially glad about the car charger that comes with it. The only problem I've had is that the European adapter doesn't fit properly, but as I'm not planning on going to Europe anytime soon, it's not a problem.
