The Omni-Bounce OM-EV from Sto-Fen for the Canon 270EX and the 270EX II speedlights, creates a diffused bare bulb effect, providing even coverage across the entire picture. It is recommended for use with lenses from 15mm to 200mm in the 35mm format, but will work with other formats. The Omni-Bounce is easy to use and goes onto and off of your flash in seconds with custom fitting, except UNI, and No Velcro. It is quite durable and it is small enough to fit easily into your gadget bag or pocket.

This is a small piece of plastic that should not cost [$], but it does, and I bought it and kept it on my 270EXII basically most of the time. It adds little bulk to an already small flash. One added benefit is that I can slip inside a small piece of color correcting gel (e.g., CTO) without resorting to messy tapes.Don't expect wonderfully soft light from this diffuse. Even with the diffuser, the size of the light source is small. One would hope for bounced light from ceilings, etc., but the 270EXII does not put out much light to begin with.

Works very well with the Canon 270EX. Could be a little tighter on flash head, notice it popped off due to rubbing against my body or bag as I walk. Other then that the product works very well with Diffuser For Canon 270EX. ABNPix

Comments about Sto-Fen OM-EV Omni-Bounce Flash Diffuser For Canon 270EX - 270EX II:
I used the Canon 270ex on the Canon G12 at Disneyland's Smallworld ride. The first test was direct on-camera flash set on auto, I took a picture of my daugher and the image was harsh and the colors in the background was bareley visible due to the over powering flash. I took a second shot with the Omni Flash Diffuser on this time, also set on auto but with the flash tilted straight up to the ceiling. The image of my daughter was almost perfect with the subject lit "smoothly" with the little bit of light spilled from the side of the diffuser and the rest of the light lit up the interior of the ride which made the background colors more visible. I reccomend a diffuser and indirect flash for indoors at all times, yes it uses a little more juice from the battery but shouldn't be a big deal, just bring a spare set.

This product stays on my flash almost all the time. The results are excellent and I have better control over the exposure. An external flash is a giant step forward for anyone and the diffuser makes it work even better.

Softening the light with this handy is just what the doctor ordered.
The fix is excellent and the soft fill warms the subject.
I use Sto-Fen diffusers on my 580EXII, 430EX and 270EX and I shoot professionally.
Thank you Sto-Fen and B&H.

Comments about Sto-Fen OM-EV Omni-Bounce Flash Diffuser For Canon 270EX - 270EX II:
Since I purchased a G10, I've been trying to get around the limitations of indoor shooting as typical flash photos really bug me and using high iso is not an option with my camera. Bought a 270ex for its bounce capability, however, depending on the room I would end up with dark eyes and/or an unnatural heavenly glow from above. The omni bounce seems to resolve these issues pretty well and results in a more natural light distribution. Not sure if its the best of its kind but compared to other diffusers it is extremely portable, attaches firmly to camera and doesn't attract odd looks from people around you. The one downside, given that the 270ex is a small flash the omni bounce will noticeably cut the power of the flash. That said, I can still get decent results in my family room that has an 11 foot ceiling although I'm likely at the limit.
