I print a lot of photos and fabric transfers. This printer has done an excellent job with both. It prints an 8x10 much quicker than my old R300 printer and the actual printing is very quiet, even without switching to the slower "quiet mode." The paper transfer system is a little noisy, but the internal paper tray seems to feed more evenly than the former top-fed systems. The scanner is as good as any I've owned. I particularly like the copy photo feature, that allows copying without actaully saving the original to my computer. The footprint is a little large, but is smaller than a seperate printer and scanner would be.

I had 2 Epson printers before this and loved them. This one was a waste of money. I cannot get this printer to print a 4x6 photo. I always use the advanced settings for printing but the printer seems to default to printing only on letter-sized paper despite the settings for 4 x 6. When I slide in the paper tray, the design of the trays seems to dislodge the photo paper tray and maybe that is the problem. The tray set-up seems loose and the top tray does not stay in place. The printer says there is no paper or wrong sized paper. It may be that this printer is defective so will call Epson to see it it can be returned. It is quite heavy and larger than I expected so eats up a lot of desk space. I was disappointed that it does not accept ink jet card stock (4.1 x 5.8) as I often print my own postcards. I incorrectly assumed the newer Epson models would be able to accept this size stock, so that is my mistake. I have not attempted to set up the wifi feature. I was disappointed that in order to print a CD, one needs to work in a software program specifically for this printer. The program seems pretty limited in what one can design. Not a lot of fine control. I called Epson to ask how can I print from a design in Photoshop. The only way is to work in PS and then import into the Epson software layout. I probably will not even attempt printing a CD. I am shopping around for a different printer, something basic that can print photos and cards without a hassle.

I use this printer primarily as a photo printer for home use. It serves very well in this capacity. Very good quality photo printing. Setup went off without a hitch. Instantly connected to my wireless network. Printing from my iPhone and iPad using the eprint app was flawless. Excellent [...] price from B&H, as usual. [...]

I've only had it a few weeks so it's hard to tell how long the ink will last, but so far I'm pleased. The tray for printing on CD/DVDs is very flimsy and it's hard to be sure it's aliened correctly. Otherwise a great machine.

Comments about Epson Artisan 710 All-In-One Printer:
Had purchased a more expensive popular brand printer that was so complicated I gave up on it and returned to the store. I am fairly smart on these tech things but could not print the 1/2 card envelopes or proper photos with the other machine. My Hubby looked this 710 up on the website and we went to the store and purchased. Very pleased with the "user friendly" behavior along with the quality of the printing and the cost of the printer! We are "snowbirds" so looked for the same printer here in Yuma. Had to go online to find our second one but we did and now very pleased! :)

Comments about Epson Artisan 710 All-In-One Printer:
I purchased the 710 specifically to print DVDs (and as a to be seldom used backup for my Canon PIXMA printer). I collect old films and transfer them to DVD and the 710 (which I purchased to replace my dead Epsin 380) has a significantly easier-to-use CD/DVD printing component for adding notes to printable DVDs. While I've rated the machine itself with 5 stars, I can't say the same for Epson product support, which took 3 telephone calls (one toll-free and two on my dime) over three days to resolve registration of the printer.

I am a serious amateur, freelance photographer. I use this mostly for photos, however, the price was to good to pass up the all in one feature. I had the Epson Stylus Photo R-340 before. I thought that the print quality was very good. I had to retrain my eye to get used to the superb quality of this printer. The only thing that I am warily about is the paper tray. I get the feeling that it might not be sturdy enough

We very pleased with this printer! It looks much more expensive than it is, in fact we decided to leave it out on our desk rather than hide it from view like our last printer. The print quality is just as fantastic! So far we've used the Artisan 710 to print everyday black and white documents, high quality photographs, and for scanning and copying. We researched every printer model/brand under $500, and decided to purchase an Epson after reading many positive articles , and reviews regarding Epson having the best photo print quality. The reviews were right, it's by far the best printer we've ever owned! Well worth the money!!!!

I was told that Epson, despite having the same specs as many other photo printers, has superior image quality. It's true! Great, vibrant photos and the printer itself has a sleek design. Advertised as an AIO printer however, it would have been perfect if it had a document feeder too. I had this printer [...] to my sister as a birthday present and she was instantly inspired to make several family collages! I guess I did good this year...

Comments about Epson Artisan 710 All-In-One Printer:
I have the printer connected to ethernet network. Setup was easy. Be sure to download drivers from Epson for Windows 7. I have a mix of Win 7, XP, and Vista on the network. Setup on each was about the same.
The printer does a nice job and it's faster than I expected for a good quality 4x6. Certainly faster than my R2400! Copy features are good, and I was able to figure out how to make color copies right from the front panel.
Printing on CDs/DVDs is simpler than the R200 it replaced - the tray is built in. It seems faster, too, although I've not stressed it a lot yet. It's footprint is okay considering it's an all-in-one. The duplexer feeder does poke out the back a few inches.
Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase.

Bought this printer to replace an HP all in one which was very slow printing pictures. This unit does a great job with pictures but using with a MAC you must change the default setting to high quality, low speed.
