We got this set for the kitchen. It was working great on the first day, was simple to set up etc. sounded ok (speakers seemed a bit light but I guess with only 10W what do you expect?). However, after a few hours of playing, the transmitter stopped getting power and has not come back alive. It might be the transformer (120 to 12) or it might be the transmitter itself.

Comments about Acoustic Research AW880 Wireless Indoor Stereo Speakers (Pair):
Use them to support HD TV as with additional speakers the volume from the set can be lowered with a "surround sound" experience. Speakers have excellent fidelity. Very easy to install. Each speaker has it own power source, so they are not linked by an "umbilical" cord which severely limits placement and distance between speakers. Volume control should be on the front side of speaker; it is one of three controls in the back and hard to locate.

Comments about Acoustic Research AW880 Wireless Indoor Stereo Speakers (Pair):
In kitchen to hear great stereo audio from a 10w RMS amp audio system located in living room. Love to listen to great music while cooking my favorite dishes. Excellent bass and trebble when listening to fine classical music. I am not a rocker, so I don't care about blaring, knocking bass only. There are not any "not so great" issues with these speakers. Hat is off to AR for a designing a great product.

Using it for my suround sound 7.1 system. When it senses the signal the speakers come to life. Sound great.

Comments about Acoustic Research AW880 Wireless Indoor Stereo Speakers (Pair):
Easy to plug and turn it on for instant sound as the installation instructions were as simple as 1, 2, 3.
The one thing this isn't so great is the volumn know is on the back of the unit and it is kind of small. My wife likes to turn the speaker down when she has an incoming phone call and that task would be a little better if the volumn button were a little larger. I own other Wireless Speaker Systems.
Comments about Acoustic Research AW880 Wireless Indoor Stereo Speakers (Pair):
It works well for what it is advertised as, as well as what it is priced at. Good product.

Comments about Acoustic Research AW880 Wireless Indoor Stereo Speakers (Pair):
Given that these Speakers are pretty inexpensive you should expect to get what you pay for. So what you pay for is a pair of badly designed, short distance only, hard to install, and difficult to effectively use speakers. They are easy to set up, but then they immediately underperform. If you're looking for junk that doesn't work well definitely buy these speakers. We're retuning mine.

Wireless speakers sound great. But the volume, Stereo controls are situated on the back face and would be easier if they were on the front.

Terrible speakers I have the transmitter right next to the speakers and it doesnt work .Once in a while it wakes up for a few minutes and then bam it stops out of the blue moon.
Bottom line dont touch these even if they give it away free.
