The Cavision RS5DM2SET-S DSLR Shoulder Mount Package allows the cameraperson to work with a video DSLR utilizing the stability of shoulder mount equipment. This package offers rod support, handgrips and a viewfinder adapter.
Please note: now includes aluminum rods instead of carbon fiber rods.
Note! Height alignment of the LCD Viewfinder is intended for the Canon 5D Mark II and may not align properly with other cameras. For use with the Canon 7D, an additional RPC4580 spacer plate is required.
Note:The lens on the viewfinder, like all optical elements, by its nature magnifies light and thus will also magnify the sun's rays; therefore, leaving the viewfinder on the camera in direct sunlight may cause damage to the LCD. The manufacturer will not be held liable for damage caused by improper use of its products.

Comments about Cavision RS5DM2SET-S DSLR Shoulder Mount Package:
I bought this for my 7D, and yes, you have to buy the spacer with it so it will be aligned with the eyepiece. At first the rig looked too small, but after I adjusted it, it feels perfect. The shoulder mount is made of plastic (as is most of the rig), so I put a rubber pad on it so it would stick to my shoulder better. The eyepiece it not great, but it gets the job done. My lcdvf is a much better viewfinder, so I might ditch this one in the future. But overall, it's a nice rig and keeps my shots nice and steady. I'm glad I purchased this one instead of the more expensive alternatives.
I also purchased a follow focus, and was good to go.

Comments about Cavision RS5DM2SET-S DSLR Shoulder Mount Package:
It is a simple shoulder mount but very useful. The viewfinder works okay. You can adjust it according to how you want to mount it on your shoulder. The down side is that the shoulder pad it hard so it sometimes hurts your shoulder but it definitely helps with the hand held shots.

Comments about Cavision RS5DM2SET-S DSLR Shoulder Mount Package:
I primarily shoot narrative web-series. I was looking for a two handled HDSLR rig with shoulder support. When I first unwrapped it, I thought "oh no this is so small," it ended up being perfect though. The adjustable arm connecting the rails and the shoulder support is perfect. It lets you raise the camera to eye level with ease. It also does a good job of getting the camera infront of you without having second set of off set rails like some larger rigs I tried.
I love the handle grips, their real handles that feel good in the hand and not just bicycle grips.
The ergonomics combined with the price point made this rig ideal for me. The Eye piece isn't the best, i notice some slight distortion around the edges, but helps greatly on a sunny day. I added a few pieces of foam to the shoulder pad and I'm loving how solid the rig is.
I purchased the accessory box that attaches to the back, unfortunately it's really small and other than a lav/reciever I don't know what to use it for. I'm hoping to find a counter weight that will fit into it.
