It works great and does what it is supposed to. There are other products to do the same thing, but I feel for the price, the AVH100F provides the bang per buck. It was easy to install (only took about 5 minutes at most)and it worked right away. I would recommend this to a friend.

It is HDCP complaint, which means it cannot be used with most capture cards, making it un-useable for broadcasts. However, it was extremely well built and would be a great solution for anyone looking to simply 'display' the image on a screen. I was looking for a high quality solution for live broadcasting, but this was not it. Rock solid construction. HDCP stinks!

I needed to connect my laptop IBM Thinkpad which only had a VGA port to my 42 inch Panasonic Plasma (Model TH-42PX75U)which had only S-video and HDMI ports. I watch alot of Youtubes / VT Football trailers, etc. as well as Netflix movies and found that this was EXACTLY what I needed in order to get a digital signal that looks really well on my TV. Nothing else seemed to work well - this did the job. Just make sure you change the display settings appropriately and especially the resolution for what will be on the TV in the graphic settings to 1920 (I believe).

AVH100F is being used to convert VGA from PC to HDMI and stream movies to my HDTV. Product works great for video, but could not get audio to work on my HDTV. Aluratek tech support was not very helpful. After numerous failed attempts to make this work, I finally gave up on running audio through HDMI cable and used a 3.5mm audio cable from PC to a separate speaker system. Works great now, but not what I was expecting.

This has been a good solution for a wiring issue I had. It works really well but is a little bulkier than I thought it would be. It does seem to be well made though. For the price, I think it is the best option out there.
