This is now one of my favorite bags while I am walking a lot. I took this to several hiking trips, Disneyland, and some site seeing tours recently. I mainly use a Nikon D700, 24-70 2.8 lens, 80-200 2.8 lens, and the SB-900 flash. Yes all of this will fit in the bag.First of all to get all that stuff in the bag you have to have it all apart so it's not as easy to access on the fly. The center pocket will hold the 80-200 and the D700 body while the side pockets would hold the other lens and the flash. However I don't like to have it like this.My camera will typically be out of the bag with one of the lenses. The other lens will be in the center pocket and the flash will be on the side. On the other side I like to keep a water bottle as I am usually out all day. The cinching system for the water bottle is handy, but it's a little bit annoying to have the flap open because the water bottle sticks out. I carried a monopod with me and I stuck it in the back area with the padding. I'm not sure if a tripod would fit there, but the monopod was fine and it was still comfortable. The rain cover is nice and easy to carry around. The strapping system is also good, I kept the waste belt on the entire time and then used the shoulder strap across my chest which gave it more support. This is a great bag and I enjoy using it on most of my travels. It's a minimalist bag so it keeps things lightweight. If it were a little bit taller it could fit more but then I could also say if it were a little bit smaller it would be less weight. They should look into putting a pad on the shoulder strap and that would complete the masterpiece in my opinion.

I bought this and tried for several days to make it work. My needs were too much for it and I ended up having to go with a backpack - 3 lenses (one is a 70-200mm) were just too much. If you have a small camera and 2 lenses, you could make this work. My gear fit, but not all the accessories and the weight made the pack tip over unless the shoulder strap was also worn to triangulate the load. Nicely made, and felt nice on the hip, but just be sure your needs are small.

Perfect little pack for a camera and a couple lenses. If you are using it professionally, at a sporting event, for example, the weight isn't distributed evenly and I have found it useful to add another lens pouch to the back of the belt so that my back doesn't hurt from the front weight.

The thing about this bag that is great is the one side pocket can hold a water bottle for those hot days. Very light weight. Love it

Comments about Kata DW-495 DPS Waist Pack:
I usually use a backpack for my photographic outings. During the summer months, the backpack gets hot, so I looked at a waist pack for a warm weather substitute. The DW-495 DPS Waist Pack gives me room for my camera with an attached lens (a 75-300 Zoom), and either 2 more lenses or one lens and a bottled water. The pack is functional and not uncomfortable to wear.

I love this pack. I never can find waist packs big enough to hold my video gear when shooting weddings. I like to have a small HD camera as back up vixia 40 and fits in there great. I can carry extra sony 970 batteries, my on camera light, tapes and SDHC cards and my wireless microphones and hand held for interviews at weddings. It is big, so sometimes I wear it behind but it is easily accessible. It totally serves my purposes. It also has a shoulder strap. This would be a great pack to take on vacation as well.

When I have less to carry I use this in lieu of a backpack. Everything is in front of you and readily accessible.
I don't see any problems with this item. When I need to change a lens, add a filter, grab my glasses... they're all right there. I've been looking for a good waist pack for a while. I'm glad my search is over!

It was a little larger than I wanted (I am a very petit woman) but I put everything in it I wanted! I have 1 lens, 1 -550 flash, memory cards, several extra batteries, business cards, color checker, note pad, pen and camera in mine!
I used it at a wedding last week, even though it is large, I had no problem just turning it to my back so it was out of my way. It was great having everything I needed quickly at my side!! I will definitely use it for sports and location work too!!

Good bag! Nikon D700 fits just right in. You have 2 pockets to carry lenses. But there will be little space left for the extra stuff. I do not carry the "whole caboodle" - so I like it.
