The Pearstone Bounce Dome (Diffuser) for Canon Speedlites 540EZ & 550EX will diffuse the light output of the flash, producing softer shadows and a softer, more natural glow rather than the harsher effect when using a direct flash. The diffuser provides even coverage across the entire frame.
The Bounce Dome simply slides onto and off the flash with custom fitting, without the need for touch fastener tabs.

This diffuser dome works perfectly. It does the job for less than a Sto-Fen, so my wallet is happy.
If I had to give any negatives, I'd say that it has a very tight fit on my 550EX. I almost felt like I had bought the wrong size until I aligned all four corners exactly and pushed it on with a great deal of force.

it is a tight fit at first (almost hurt myself putting it on ), but once it is on it works as described. Cheap enough,does it's job. Enough said.

I have bought my first diffuser for my Canon Speedlite 580EX. It came in a simple plastic box with some papers. Installation took some time and effort since it's a VERY snug fit. I wouldn't recommend it if you're going to take it on/off frequently just because of this hassle. However, if you don't mind, this is a great diffuser! It creates nice soft lights for portaits!
