Doesn't seem to do anythign but keep dust off your drive, which you can just wipe off with your hand, a breath of air, or with a cloths instead of buying this ''case'' Does nothing a ziploc bag wouldn't do. If you just want to cover it, to keep scratches & dust off the hdd enclosure, this is for you. If you are looking for some kind of protection from bumps & possible drops, there has to be better choices out there, there has to be

Convenient soft case for 500 GB portable HD. I would have preferred to buy a hard case, but the HD specs did not include dimensions. This does the job to protect from dust, scratches, etc; but would not want to toss it in the bottom of my backpack!
