Comments about E-MU Emulator X3 - Streaming Sampling Synthesizer:
I purchased Emulator X3 for my song writing & audio recording.
It's perfect for both because you can make your own custom sound banks & edit to your heart's content until one achieves just the right sound set for each particular song & the sampled sound sets that are included are amongst the best in the business.
It's also very intuitive & easy to use (I hate manuals normally but this one's easy to follow)

Comments about E-MU Emulator X3 - Streaming Sampling Synthesizer:
I recieved this product not long ago and am just now beginning to get the hang of it. I mostly use this program for sound shaping but hope to learn all the gritty details of multisampling in short order. The only other Sampler I've used is Ableton Live's which I like for its simplicity. However the Emulator X3 seems to be in a whole class of its own. My impression at this point is that this program has alot of potential for all kinds of sample projects. Only it seems like it may take a bit of time to really learn it due to its scope and detail.

This product is awesome. I should have bought this sooner. Simple to use, many features (some of the latest samplers lack some of the features this product provides).

Comments about E-MU Emulator X3 - Streaming Sampling Synthesizer:
I have been using this product for about 2 years (If you include the Emulator X2) and I have yet to find a sampler that gives you this much flexibility. You can add effects, layer, group, key assign, cross fade, tempo map, chop and assign to keys with a few mouse clicks, auto detect tempo, auto detect key pitch, export MIDI from audio loops......., the list can go on and on. The two things I love the most about the Emulator X3 is Cord routing (virtual wires that connect everything together in the Emulator X), most software samplers only allow you to route
only basic functions if any, but Emulator X3 gives you total freedom! The other is Synth Swipe, this feature samples hardware keyboards automatically based on the parameters you select
(notes/velocities/durations/intervals)and saves it as a preset and the sound is exactly the same as the original keyboard as long as you are using good AD converters. The only downside to the emulator X3 is that it is only for Windows OS and that you have to save and open a separate file along side your DAW song file. They should have made it where the Emulator X3 automatically opens and saves with in your DAW song file when you save your DAW project, but I have got accustomed to it since I also have to do the same procedure when I rewire reason with my DAW. Other then that this is the BEST SOFTWARE SAMPLER ON THE MARKET HANDS DOWN!

Comments about E-MU Emulator X3 - Streaming Sampling Synthesizer:
Exceptional sounds. I own the Emu MP7 (Mo'Phatt sounds with the added Beat ROM)and the sounds of the X3 is a good as the MP7 without the hardware. Exceptional.
