Comments about Fujifilm S200EXR FinePix Super Zoom Digital Camera:
This is the first Fuji digital camera I have purchased. I have always purchased Olympus products all the way back to 35mm film. I purchased this Fuji product over the Olympus this time, based on the availability of an electronic viewfinder. My old Olympus digital camera included one, and I'm so used to using it, the new camera had to include one. The newer Olympus point and shoot digital cameras of this price and style no longer include an electronic viewfinder, which I feel is a major mistake on their part. I'm rather old fashioned when it comes to taking photographs; I occasionally will use the LCD screen on back, if a particular shot demands it, such as shooting over the heads of other people into a scene I want to capture. Otherwise, I rarely use the LCD, except for looking at results. I recently completed a cruise to Bermuda, and this was the first test of the Fuji digital camera. The camera exceeded my expectations every time. The lithium ion battery lasted almost the whole week on one charge. I carried the recharger, however, did not need a recharge until late Thursday of the same week. The photographs the camera produced were excellent with real color saturation, extra sharp, and crisp images. The 12 megapixels produced outstanding 8 x 12 images that I had reproduced at a local drug store chain. I have no complaints about this camera. The glass is excellent with no distortion present in the photographs I had printed. The camera handles well, and feels good in the hands with very good balance, even with the lens fully extended. I would highly recommend this camera to my friends and family.

Comments about Fujifilm S200EXR FinePix Super Zoom Digital Camera:
I use the s200exr to photograph nature, wildlife and landscapes. The combination of the dual macro and the 14x zoom give this camera great range. There are several program modes including the EXR mode which then has other program modes within them. In addition there are several manual modes including full manual. The camera has the ability to record in raw or jpeg and it has image stabilation The s200exr offers something for every level of photographer from the rookie to the pro.
In addition the camera shoots video but, it is not 1080 HD. The camera also lacks a tiltable liveview lcd screen. The camera could use a little more zoom, something in the 18x-20x range.
I spent several months researching advanced compacts and entry level dslr's before I choose the s200exr.

Comments about Fujifilm S200EXR FinePix Super Zoom Digital Camera:
I absolutely love the functionality of this camera. Everything that everyone else has said is true and was the main reason for me going with the fujifilm. the picture quality is amazing and the camera in general is really easy to use. not only does it have automatic settings, it is versatile enough that you can set it to fully manual and adjust all the settings yourself. The zoom capacity is one of my favorite things about it- you won't believe how much you can zoom. the battery life is also awesome. i shot a baby shower in day and night, kept the camera on most of the time, and took over 1000 pictures before my battery meter started blinking at me. this is a GREAT buy for the money!

Great camera!
After reading and reading a lot about others reviews, the S200EXR it's all that I expected and more.
I recommended this camera to everyone that don't feel ready yet (chicken!) to go for a real DSLR and also don´t feel satisfy with those regular P&S cameras.

A well-constructed camera with features and value that should appeal to most any amateur and advanced photo enthusiast. Too numerous to mention any particular feature. Suffice it to say it is a great all-around photo taker.

I mainly use this camera for everyday shooting. Macro, landscape, nature. Very intuitive and easy to use. Menu system is extremely self-explanatory. I love that you can so easily switch from various AUTO modes and then turn the camera into a fully manual DSLR... without the high price tag.
Highly recommended.

I purchased this camera after i had looked up and reviewed all the different fuji cameras. I like to completely look and review every camera that i am considering and this one had everything i was wanting and more. I received it in the mail about 10 - 14 days ago and i have yet to figure out all the features. It does so many different things. I think i am really going to like it when i sit down and read the entire manual that i printed off. This is the first camera that i have ever had that wasn't a simple point and shoot. The only thing i didn't like about it was that it didn't come with a manual. I had to go online & look it up from the fuji website & download it. Other than that it is going to be awesome. It is nice that you don't have to change out different lens.

Go to a camera shop, see if they have one you can take a few shots with, like I said let the camera do the talking. You will be impressed and buy it !! People can give an opinion, the camera will show you the TRUTH!! The S200EXR is SMOKING HOT !! Thanks B&H Photo.

I bought this camera to replace my previous 3 Fuji cameras. I've been slowly upgrading, and shooting more and more in Aperture Priority and Manual. This camera is the perfect bridge for me. Not a dSLR, but more than most point and shoot cameras. I take mostly portraits, and it is so amazing. I love the Pro features.

Comments about Fujifilm S200EXR FinePix Super Zoom Digital Camera:
I gave it 5 stars based on the genre, the quality of its lens, and the absolutely superb image quality that comes from this camera.
I'm an advanced photographer and camera collector. I've always enjoyed Fuji cameras, but this S200EXR even has me excited. I still own the previous version - which is the S100fs (and I thought that was a wonderful camera), but this new S200EXR is, in my opinion, a few clicks better in all areas.
Of particular interest to me is the clarity and quality of this lens. I've seen quite a few "other" brand superzoom cameras - but their lenses left much to be desired. After all, when you attempt to cover this much zoom reach, there is often a tradeoff...and that is in the area of definition and clarity. Not so with the S200exr as it excels.
Yes, the camera is the size of a small DSLR - you can't get around that - but the handling is superb. The RAW image files coming from this baby will net you quite a bit of dynamic range and rich, color results. I'm quite impressed and this camera will wind up "staying" in my collection.
If you haven't already done so, I'd strongly suggest getting one before they go out of circulation.

I use it for all types of photographic situations without concern for it's limitations. It has performed superbly.
Wonderful DSLR-like versatility; balanced and fits well in the hands with minimal heaviness.
My only complaint so far is no rubber eye cup attachment for viewing from the EVF mode.
Overall, I can finally retire my 1978 Canon AE-1 with a smile on my face and a mind at ease!

Comments about Fujifilm S200EXR FinePix Super Zoom Digital Camera:
This must be one of the easiest cameras to use but yet that also contains very professional features. Set it on EXR and forget about anything else. I have taken more than 4000 pictures, indoors, outdoors, during the day, during the night and never used the flash yet. 2.8 F lens. Macro pics are awesome. Anti Vibrate or something that makes picture on the move still crystal clear. Massive zoom. If you want a very good camera but are confused with all the choices and what goes with what or just a normal user but you think it would be nice to be spoilt with many functions but yet easy to use then this camera is it. And the EXR does everything. But it has all kinds of manual settings if you think you can do better or want more toys to play with.My friend bought one first and I followed. And don't think we didn't look at some other brands that I actually thought would be better. This blows them out of the water for value for money and features.

Comments about Fujifilm S200EXR FinePix Super Zoom Digital Camera:
Have used for a few weeks. The EXR feature really works and creates great opportunities to image in low light with less noise. Terrific lens. Even though it is not an SLR, it feels and operates like one in many respects----although it is a little too gadgety, it still has traditional controls. Particularly also like the film simulation modes, and bracketing.
Highly recommended.

Comments about Fujifilm S200EXR FinePix Super Zoom Digital Camera:
What I love about this camera is that it is very versatile. The EXR feature on the camera is very useful for first time users and very handy when you don't have time to play around with the shutter and aperture setting. Though for advanced users, this camera allows you to use the aperture and shutter settings allowing you to maximize the type of shots you want to take. Very reliable camera and awesome because you don't have to bring a heavy bag with 3 different kinds of lenses as you would with a dslr. This advanced point and shoot is the same level with dslr of other brands as long as you known how to operate it. Basically, this camera is handy if you travel a lot and if you dont to carry many camera equipments.
