CD DJ In a Box from Numark is a complete kit with everything you need to DJ with audio CDs and CD-Rs. It includes two NDX200 tabletop CD players with looping, pitch control, and scratching capabilities. The kit also includes the M1A DJ Mixer, a pair of DJ headphones, and all of the cables you need to get started. The CD DJ In a Box takes the guesswork out of putting together a DJ system, and let's you start mixing right out of the box.
The NDX200 tabletop CD players enable you to play audio from CDs and CD-Rs, while being able to speed up or slow down the pitch by 16%, loop sections of the audio, and scratch the audio playback with large scratch wheels. The looping section allows you to create in and out points on-the-fly. A reloop button enables you to start the loop over from the "in point" whenever it is pushed. Pushing the reloop button rapidly creates a stuttering effect. At the touch of a button, the large scratch wheels turn into navigation tools. You can use them to scroll through songs to quickly find the next tune to play.
With a crossfader, channel faders, a cue slider, a mic input, and EQ, the M1A DJ Mixer features all the essential functions needed to fully control the playback of music and sound files. These controls encourage the creative manipulation of sound, and are very useful when mixing music DJ-style. All of the components are ergonomically designed to interact well with other equipment. Portable and ready to travel, the budget-friendly CD DJ In a Box is a great option for anyone looking for a complete DJing system.

Comments about Numark CD DJ In a Box - Complete Scratch DJ System:
It is a very basic starter product. if your just getting into djing then it is a good place to start. doesnt allow scratching and doesnt have bpm marker or hot cues but does allow you to get the feel of cueing up songs and fading between tracks.

FIRST OF ALL, I KNEW THESE WERNT SCRACH PLAYERS JUST PITCH PADS. THESE PLAYERS ARE STRICKLY FOR MIXING & LOOPING.MY ONLY PROBLEM IS THE LOADING TIME & IF IT DOSENT LOAD BY THE TIME THE NEXT SONG IS OVER, YOUR STUCK!!! I MEAN I USE MINE FOR PARTIES AND NOT TO MANY PROBLEMS EXCEPT SOMETIMES THE PLAYER WILL JUST STOP AND YOU GET BOOOOED! OTHER THAN THAT THEY ARE OK IF YOU JUST USE THEM TO DJ PARTIES.

Comments about Numark CD DJ In a Box - Complete Scratch DJ System:
I bought this thinking that I would use these as a controller for my DJ software but the thing about the cddj's is that it has scratch wheels but it can't scratch, it is rather used for pitch control. So i was not able to use it for cueing my songs and scratching. The M1a mixer is a pretty decent mixer if you are a starter. If you want to use this product in a time coded setup like i wanted to do, it want cue your track fwd or reverse and scratch. So don't get deceived by its low price get something up the mark to get the job done.

Comments about Numark CD DJ In a Box - Complete Scratch DJ System:
to be honest and quite frank I am a little disappointed with the product. I was trying to compliment a pair of really nice Numark I-cdX decks, however these are discontinued. so I thought the DJ-in-a-box might be ideal.Pros. ad a set of powered monitors (speakers_) for $80 - $200 and you have everything you need to play at a party or in your bedroom. off CD.CONS the CD players in general I guess i should have read the tech-spec a lot more closely.essentially I took for granted that the CD players would have scratchability of some kind as it has disc-wheels.I assumed it would allow me to back track in to th eprevious track (as I teach DJing this is a vital feature that I never thought wouldn't be there)It doesn't have the ability to play MP3 cd'sit won't take a USB feed.I use mostly written CDr's as i want to keep the best music available to me now and not lug lots of music. these take AGES to load and the lasers are not overly happy with older discs. this is a fairly big deal as you have to restart the CD player to get the disc out if it doesn't read, then as a further pain reset the timer count down and play mode and then eject and recue.PAIN IN THE BUM!the mixer is adequate.TBH for the $$ i'd recommend a decent second hand mac book and a USB controller and HDD full of Music, or spend the extra and get something further upmarket. (or used secondhand / recon) THE HEADPHONES ARE MINT THOUGH, I really liked the headphones[...]
