Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1 Digital Camera (Red):
I'm a very basic photographer, which is why this camera is nice. The screen is nice and wide at the back. The few extra features I've used are simple. It's easy to transfer the photos to my computer. The best thing about this camera is the quality of the lens--Lumix really takes clear photos. I've only had it a few weeks, but I wish the instruction booklet were more helpful: more along the lines of "advanced camera features for dummies." Also, I had an earlier version of this camera which only lasted about 2 years, which seems like a short time given that I use it only once a month or so. I hope this one holds up better. But, obviously, I liked the lens so much I figured I'd try a newer model.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1 Digital Camera (Red):
I love everything about this camera. It takes great pictures in a wide variety of situations...broad landscapes, close ups of flowers, group photos and more. I love the red color because it is easy to find and does not get mixed up with my friends' camera which are all Panasonic as well.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1 Digital Camera (Red):
I bought this camera based on it's positive review from[@] and I'm thrilled with my purchase. This camera takes wonderful pictures and it's a big step up from my 05 Sony Cybershot. My only regret is not buying a case for it because the LCD screen scratches easily.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1 Digital Camera (Red):
I wanted a high quality camera that was easy to use for capturing family moments and activities. This camera fit the bill and is perfect! The size and controls are easy to identify and use. The large LCD is a definite plus as are the many options and user changeable features in the Scene mode. The short lag time was a major factor in buying this camera. If there's one Con to the camera I would say it's the lack of a 220V adapter as I travel frequently.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1 Digital Camera (Red):
So small and yet so powerful.
It might feel somewhat clumsy if you have got big hands.
Its size and weight make it always carry on item and its image quality will make you happy all the way.
Very good videos by the way.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1 Digital Camera (Red):
For the price, this is a great camera. The start up time is very quick, the shots are sharp and the size means that it is perfect for travelling. The 8x zoom has great sharpness at full extension also. Very happy with it as a complement to my SLR.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1 Digital Camera (Red):
This camera is small and fits nicely in the purse/small bag my wife carries. Our favorite feature of ZR-1 is the true 25 mm wide angle, while the 8x zoom is just adequate.
The new POWER O.I.S. is very impressive and works well even in low light, considering the light weight of this camera.
However, the auto white balance still needs improvement. The lack of HD video recording kind of bothers us, although we chose this camera mainly for the photo quality not the video.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1 Digital Camera (Red):
I bought this camera just before an overseas trip. I was also looking at some entry level DSLRs and the canon sd880. I am very happy with this purchase. It is so compact and easy to use, and the picture quality is wonderful.
I took mostly landscapes while I was traveling and the dynamic range on this camera is excellent. The detail that it captured, even while zoomed out, was amazing. You will have to use a tripod or something to lean against while zooming, especially up to 8x, in order to get crisp pictures. I've gotten really good results by steadying the camera against a nearby wall or lamppost.
The burst mode is excellent for action shots. I was able to capture action shots midair while my friends were jumping on the trampoline. I like that you can set the continuous shooting up several different ways depending on your preferences. This feature was almost as good as a DSLR, which is great considering its size and portability.
One weakness of this camera is indoor low light shooting, which to be fair is a weakness of most compact cameras. The party mode produced unusable distorted blurry photos. The high sensitivity mode actually performed much better, as long as the subjects were relatively still.
The intelligent auto was pretty good, although I prefer to choose the settings myself. The menus are easy to navigate and everything is very organized at my fingertips.
The battery life on this camera was excellent. I used the camera very heavily, often scrolling through my pictures to show them to people, for two weeks and I only had to charge it once. Unfortunately, the LCD doesn't turn off while uploading the pictures onto your computer, which is a big battery drain. I would recommend getting a card reader if you get this camera in order to avoid this situation.
Overall I am thrilled with my purchase. This camera is definitely one of the most compact and easy to use cameras out there. The feature set is impressive, especially the burst mode and the increased dynamic range. I would definitely recommend this camera to a friend.
