Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP8 Digital Camera (Red):
I have only had the camera a couple of weeks, but I can tell you this: It takes great pictures, the time from turning it on to snaping a photo is very short. Nice size, easy to use. Nothing bad to say about it. I used it last weekend at a party in a fairly dark bar and it took great photo's in limited light. I did get a smodge on the lens because it is not protected though, so make sure you keep an eye on that. A simple lens cleaning cloth will work. I also took a couple pics of my finger because of the lens location.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP8 Digital Camera (Red):
I use the camera on a daily basis.
It fits in my purse, nice design, easy to use.
The only thing I could complain about is that I have to resize the pictures in order to email them. But that's pretty simple to do.
This was a real good deal for the camera compared to a hundred dollars more on other sites.

Keep it in my purse in case I need it. Very easy to use and figure out. You need a memory card because it doesn't hold many photos in the memory.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP8 Digital Camera (Red):
There is a great deal to be said for having a supremely small, simple to use camera. You never feel like leaving it behind - it'll fit in any pocket. If its photo qualities aren't up to those of an EP-2 or Leica X1, so be it. This camera has a number of things that really make it useful. And good. One's the lens. It's a Leica. The extra bit of wide angle is great for shooting interiors. The "intelligent auto" mode is great for most needs. Second, it starts up almost immediately, and is ready to shoot again in an instant. Third, colors are accurate, autofocus is fast, and the image quality is superb for what most of us need; web shots and an occasional 8 x 10. Panasonic's problems with higher iso numbers (i.e. 800) are much reduced compared to earlier Lumix models I've owned. Fourth, battery life is really superb.
In some ways, this reminds me of my old Contax T2. And that's high praise.
And always remember, the best camera is the one you have with you.

This camera is easy to use and produces sharp photos.
The only negative is that you need a special adapter (not included) for charging the battery while still inside the camera.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP8 Digital Camera (Red):
The camera was faster than expected and did well in low light. I was disappointed that there was no explanation for the different preset modes. Why I would ever need the food mode I have no idea. Pet mode was really cute.
