Easy to set up. Makes using Skype and FaceTime hands free easy. I use it in the kitchen where I can sit comfortably at the table and watch my grand kids without them looking up my nose when I have the iPad in my lap. Highly recommend!

Bought it to shoot video with my GH2 inside of a car and it works great.

Anywhere there is a hard flat surface you can now mount you camera.
Bathroom mirror or tiles, In the kitchen high on a cupboard door for unusual angles, car windows, hood, trunk door etc.

Not a good choice for long or heavy lenses

Not much use out in the woods but you'd be amazed how many suitable surfaces you will find around the house or around town.

TIP: cary a damp cloth or paper towel in a plastic bag to clean off the unit and/or the surface you want to use.

This suction cup mount is one the of best one out there for the price! I have tested on a few cars and it has not once fallen off at different rates of speeds from 10 - 75mph.

This product is fantastic I use it on my canon dslr (t2i) and would work great with any of the canon products. The shots are extremely steady even when on a rough road and can be attached in pretty much any angle. The thing that really sold this product was when I attatched it upside down to my computer and shook it at didn't come off. With the camera! Overall great product especially for the price

I've used this on my motorcycle, mounted on the gas tank, and it worked flawlessly.

I've also mounted it on the outside of my car on my driver-side door.

80km/hr and it was solid.

It hasn't passed the test of time yet, but so far this was well worth the money.

I took this mount on my Amtrack trip from Chicago to San Francisco, did a complete time laps of the trip with my canon 40D. The train was shaking and swinging all the time but the mount held my camera steady all the way.
It's easy to mount, adjust the angel of the camera.
The extension tube -though a bit complicated to install- is firm and reliable, and I was glad to see that it doesn't make any difference in stability.

What needs improvement is the screw part, it is a bit clumsy and hard to really securely tighten.

I bought this product to mount a camera on a rowing shell and so far it has worked amazingly.

The mount seems to absorb any vibrations or bumps caused by rough water, creating a smooth video while at the same time leaving you with the peace of mind knowing that your camera will not fall off the mounting surface no matter how much water splashes around it.

Overall, this is a great product, definitely worth every dollar and a great alternative to buying a gopro system for anyone that already has any type of waterproof video camera.

I bought this thing thinking that it would be great for mounting a small video camera inside a car. As you might expect (given its one point of contact) this is not the most steady support for shots while driving. I suppose, if you are using one of those little flip video cams or a small, prosummer camcorder it would be perfectly sufficient for moving shots. I use a Canon T2i or 60D. It does hold the weight of a DSLR plus a reasonably weighted lens, but I don't know if I would use it for anything but static shots. It comes with a neat little hot shoe style attachement that you could use for mounting an "on camera" light. Of course, keep in mind that the surface you want to mount it to is key. The suction cup holds best on glass and other equally smooth surfaces. It will stick to a painted wall but it cannot hold nearly as much weight that way. All in all, I think that this is a every well designed gadget.

Quick and easy to use, and holds on very tight. Have used it mounted to a dry car (both on the hood and on a window), and it stays on even on very rough terrain.

When I got the product in I had high hopes. The materials are good and the suction seemed to be pretty powerful. Went snowboarding yesterday and thought I would give it a try. I was skeptical so I didn't mount my camera. I suctioned it to a cleaned board inside at room temp. Then I tethered it to the back binding with a strap. Took two runs. When I got to the bottom it was gone. I admit that I was going through fairly deep poweder, but given that I would never trust this thing on what I intended it for which was mounting to a surfboard. I think any wave size worth filming would rip this thing right off in a wipeout. Also I think the weight would be more annoying on a surfboard. Maybe B&H should send me a free one so I can actually try it out on a surfboard?

I use this mount to place a small video camera on the winshile of my car. It quickly adheres well to a flat non-pourous surface. The added extension pice is nice because it gets the camera mounting screw out enough f the way from the suction to position it so the suction cup is not in the shot and the camera can have some spacing behind the windshield. A great and easy to use little product! My only compliant, which is minor, is that the camera thumb screw would move independantly of the tightening arm so you could attach the camera quicker.

I am using this mount on the inside and outside of my car to record while driving. It works great. I have to use the extension arm that came with it (only way to get the right angle with my camera), and have had no camera shake, the video has been coming out really well. My video camera is really light, a Sony CX-150 video camera, but the extension seems strong enough for a much heavier camera. The suction is very strong, I drove over 40 mph with the camera on the back of the car with no problems.

I do wish it had a quick release for the video camera, as it is a pain to have to unscrew it every time to get it off. I was also hoping to be able to remove the memory card from the camera with it still attached to the mount, but because of the location of the slot on my specific camera, I cannot.

Use this product to mount my camera on my kayak. This mount is suitable and stable on a flat surface and great for for still photograph and videos. Usefull to have a safety line or somewhere to tie it to when kayaking especially in white water rapids. Signs of rust developing after the first use in salt water. Otherwise I'm happy with this product.

They work great for a while, but loose their suction strength. I have 5 of these mini mounts and two are not as strong as they used to be.

I bought this for mounting a video camera on my motorcycle. Unfortunately it turned out the only surface large enough and flat enough on my naked bike was the front fender, which produced very shaky video since the camera practically sits on the front wheel.
I gave this mount to a friend who has a fully faired bike, and got a different one which mounts the camera on the windscreen bracket.
On the positive side, the video I obtained while using this bracket combined with newer video shows how well the suspension works, and I was very impressed with how well the mount held the camera while riding on rough roads.
This mount is probably best for use on cars, boats, and larger faired motorcycles as it requires a relatively flat area about 4 inches in diameter to work well.

Now, for sure this isn't the fanciest suction cup mount you can get, or the strongest, but...you have to think about this in terms of price - 1st up it will carry a 5dmkII (I haven't tried it with a heavy tele lense - but why would you want to mount that on a suction cup?).Also - it's small - which means you can stick it to your windscreen, and it's relatively discreet for shooting internals - your passenger won't constantly be eyeballing it.a couple of cons are: it's a [*] ache to mount the camera - and get it off. Setting up a shot can take a while as you have to keep running outside the car (unless you have an external monitor), and... ok then, it would be nice if it supported *just* a little more weight, but:In terms of bang for your buck it's going to be hard to find anything that does what it says, with the build quality - which is a BIG plus - that can beat it, in the whole shop.
