The GoBOXX G2600 Mobile Workstation Notebook Computer from BOXX Technologies is an extremely powerful desktop computer, designed for use in intense production workflows. The system features a large 17" GlassView widescreen display, capable of displaying 1080p video at full resolution. It is powered by a quad-core Intel i7-920 CPU with the "Nehalem" architecture, and loaded with 3GB of RAM. Windows Vista Ultimate (64-bit) is the installed operating system.
The computer features a dual storage system. The operating system and other software are installed on the traditional 160GB 7200rpm SATA hard disk to provide fast access to programs. Additional storage is present in the form of (2) Intel X-25 80GB SSD drives striped together in a RAID 0 configuration for an additional 160GB of storage. Delivering some of the highest performance and reliability available in any computer today, this RAID 0 array is the perfect scratch drive for working with high-bitrate and HD media.
Graphics are driven by a dedicated nVIDIA GeForce GTX M280 GPU with 1GB of memory. More than capable of handling tasks in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Maya, or Photoshop, the card is a mobile creative's dream. The system features HDMI and S/PDIF output, perfect for connecting to an external HD display and surround sound system for HD video editing and 5.1-channel audio mixing.
Disc burning is handled by an 8x-speed SuperMulti DVD burner, perfect for burning discs to deliver content to clients. The computer features FireWire-400 and eSATA ports for high-speed external storage connectivity, as well as 4 standard USB 2.0 ports for peripherals. An integrated 7-in-1 memory card reader makes it easy for photographers to download photos directly into the computer, and the webcam and microphone allow you to participate in mobile video conferences.
The system features an ExpressCard/54 slot, which also supports ExpressCard/34 cards, for expansion. Its 802.11a/b/g/n dual-band Wi-Fi can connect to both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks at the fastest possible wireless data speeds. A Gigabit Ethernet is present for those times when wireless transmission speeds are simply not sufficient. The integrated Bluetooth 2.0+EDR module allows the computer to interface with compatible wireless peripherals, such as Bluetooth keyboards, mice, speakers, and PDAs.

It features 3 hard drives, including a RAID 0 Intel X-25 SSD, which supports playback of multiple streams of uncompressed HD video, SD video, or RED ONE R3D files when using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects CS4
- Ships with 3GB of RAM, which is expandable to 12GB, enabling maximum performance of the 64-bit professional applications used in animation, compositing, and video workflows
