I chose this product because it was designed to pack flat and compact when not in use. Very handy for location shooting when you want to shoot tethered.
Usage is simple, just remove from the bag and unfold and it "pops" to shape.
I like that it packs small (footprint is slightly smaller than a typical 14' laptop
What i don't like about it is that it requires practice to pack it flat. One worries if it would get damaged :)
Overall it is still a good purchase.

Helps quite a bit when shooting tethered in outdoor situations. In full sun (the toughest situation) I still need a piece of dark cloth draped over computer and my head to block out the rest of the stray light. Knocks down into a small, lightweight package. Kinda plasticy, but then it's pretty inexpensive as photo gear goes.

This is probably one of the better hoods I have seen and used on the market.
I have used it outdoors or when I don't want prying eyes looking at what I am doing and it allows the screen to be viewed in broad daylight. It serves it purpose and then some.
The portability and ease of set up could not get any better. And the price is really affordable. It fits into any computer bag and weighs next to nothing.
I have nothing bad to say about this product. Would recommend it highly to other Mac users.

You can't go with Hoodman. I shoot tethered outside and work outside, as the kids are playing in the pool, and the hood works great. Very small and compact to fold, just like a reflector. It stores right in the side pocket of any laptop bag or pro camera bag.

I use this hood when the light is too bright in the house to do Photoshop work. It seems to fit fairly well on my 13 inch Mac and allows the full use of the keyboard. I liked this unit so well that I bought one for my daughter who does video work in a variety of settings, including the beach. She will appreciate the ability to see the mac screen when doing live shooting. Also the hood will keep the sand off the screen at the beach. Folds up nicely.

I use this for my 17" Mac Powerbook and it does shield the sunlight pretty well and was pleasantly surprised on how well it stayed in place with a windy day! It does sometimes seem to cover a bit more of the screen than I like but is worth it.
