The Time Capsule from Apple is an Internet router with a built-in hard drive, designed for use with OS X Leopard's Time Machine backup software. It can backup your Mac over Wi-Fi, ensuring that your data is always protected. It even features a USB port for printer and hard disk sharing.
The router allows you to share your Internet connection between several computers via the draft 802.11n wireless protocol. It also features three standard 10/100/1000Mbps RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet ports. The router is fully backwards compatible with legacy 802.11a/b/g devices.
The Time Capsule features a firewall to protect you from malicious software that can attack your computer from the Internet, as well as wireless security to insure that your data remains private. It can serve as an Internet router for both Macs and PCs.

Comments about Apple Time Capsule (2TB) (Early 2009):
Does everything I need it to and I have yet to use all of it's features. The combination of a router and a hardrive allows me to eliminate one component from my computer set up for less clutter.

Comments about Apple Time Capsule (2TB) (Early 2009):
I set this up in my office for users with laptops that never seem to remember to back up their data. I had them leave their laptops overnight for the first backup - and now every time they turn on their computer in the office it backs up for them and they don't even know it! I couldn't ask for anything more simple. No instructions on how to do a backup, no reminders to do them. It just works and makes my life much easier as the 'IT guy' of the office!
