The 32GB YP-P3 MP3 Player (Silver) from Samsung is more than just good looking. This MP3 player is one tough cookie with an aluminum casing and a 3 inch glass screen that resists scratching. Take it everywhere you go, day in and day out, the P3 can handle it.
The P3 also acts as your very own personal multi-tasking assistant. Sure you can store up to 8,000 songs to the 32GB flash drive, but you can also mark the calendar, jot down notes, and set the alarm so you don't oversleep. When you run into friends on the street sharing your photos and videos is a snap. And, let's not forgot the built-in mono speaker, the ability to read text documents, and listen to and record from the FM radio, as well as voice recording for notes to self.
The P3 is jam packed with fun features and gadgets, but it's also practically designed. The generous touch screen LCD is big and beautiful - perfect for viewing movies in transit and scrolling through menus, but it does something unlike most other MP3 players - it lets you know that it's listening to your commands. The screen's HAPTIC sensor talks back to you in the form of mild sensations. You scroll, the screen rumbles, you touch and the screen touches you back.
The LCD also features EmoTure Technology which gives you three different customizable desk screens to make your own with clocks, icons, and more. The P3 also features Bluetooth+EDR. You can make or answer calls without having to get your cell phone out or wirelessly listen to music while driving. In addition, the player supports DIVX downloads for fast, no hassle movie downloads.

Chose this over the Walkman X...and am not sad at all. Great sound. I am a musician and an audiophile. If your Mp3s are badly compressed or low bit rate...you WILL notice...FAST! But that is a slam on your Mp3s, not on this player.

Comments about Samsung YP-P3 MP3 Player (Silver):
I bought this to replace an old hard drive based iPod and I am very pleased with this product. I just wanted a player for music and the occasional movie and this suits my needs perfectly.
It's easy to use, lightweight, durable, and fits easily into my pocket. My favorite aspect is that I can just drag and drop my files onto the player, so I also have more control on how my files are organized.
I only encountered problems when trying to use Emodio and setting up multiple playlists the way I wanted them. Trying to set up my player using Emodio was very frustrating and unintuitive (thank goodness for drag and drop). It didn't even do a good job of converting my files. Luckily there are other software that do an excellent job of converting available for free. As for creating playlists, it took a little while to figure out how to create playlists on my computer and transfer them to the player, but once I did it became easy if a little tedious.
Overall, I love this player. It works better than my iPod, and if Samsung keeps making products like these of this quality they just found a new convert.

Comments about Samsung YP-P3 MP3 Player (Silver):
In reviews by several publications the P3 was called the best sounding mp3 player because of it's features presenting a sound so close to the original wav file. The controls are easy to work and with a good pair of earphones I have found the reviews to be true. The Samsung sounds every bit as good as other brands I own and use from time to time. The only problem I have encountered came with getting the Samsung Library Program (EmoDio) to recognize the P3. With the supplied USB cable I have had to attach, detach and after a Library update by the P3, reattach to the computer so I could hook up with EmoDio. This took some getting used to but it is not a problem now. The screen is bright and clear. But I bought mine for the sound. I have been very pleased by the results.

Comments about Samsung YP-P3 MP3 Player (Silver):
The P3 (touch screen) has the potential to be a contender against the Zune HD and iPod Touch, if it were only more readily available. The software is easy to use (the only downside is that their "online store" isn't available to residents of the US -- but that doens't matter. It will play your MP3s, WMAs, etc. and there's not been anything un-DMA'd that I've thrown at it that it hasn't functioned flawlessly with.

Comments about Samsung YP-P3 MP3 Player (Silver):
Great battery life and good sound quality (still waiting for good headphones to confirm this, but great with cheap sound isolation earbuds so far) with a mostly intuitive interface. It's much smaller and lighter than expected for a player with its feature list.
