The 1TB My Book for Mac External Hard Drive from Western Digital is a desktop hard drive with a standard USB 2.0 interface and an illuminated capacity gauge that gives you a visual indication of how much space is available on the disk.
Designed for use with Mac OS X systems, the drive is preformatted with the HFS+ file system. It is compatible with Time Machine, allowing you to use it as an external backup drive. It includes the WD SmartWare software suite, and uses a WD GreenPower drive for reduced energy consumption.
