The 320GB My Passport Essential Portable USB Hard Drive from Western Digital is a portable hard drive in a durable housing, great for use with laptop computers. The drive features an interface that allows it to be connected and powered by USB 2.0, a rotation speed of 5400rpm, a 2MB data buffer and bus transfer rates of up to 60MB/sec. Pros: Small lightweight and plenty of room for my use. I use it for files I don't want to keep on my internal hard drive and I can unplug and take with me. It's just what I needed. No problems at all.
Cons: Never got the welcome screen or the option to set up password protect. Can't figure out how to set password protect up.

We use this drive to send files to clients and I use this drive for personal use as well. I've had one (320GB) for over five years and have brought it with me to multiple locations. It's easy to use and is quiet. I've never had any issues other than it transfers files slowly (but it is USB). It does the job, is reasonably priced here at B&H and has been reliable throughout the years.
