This is my second Passport for Mac. Works great and is quiet and it is small and sleek. I have not had any issues with my first one which I purchased over a year ago which is why I decided to get another one. It's already formatted to work with a Mac, which is great for people like me who would somehow mess up formatting the drive.

The data transfer from another external hard drive to My Passport could not have been easier and when I did hit a small snag, tech support was most helpful.
I love that this does not require its own power supply so I can keep this connected to my laptop.

I have a iMac computer with a SSD and HD. I use the 320GB My Passport to backup the SSD. I also have a 1TB that I use to backup the HD. The drives are stored in a safe deposit box at my bank, thus the need for small portable drives. The USB ports on a Mac do not have the power output that the USB ports have on a PC. In order to meet their power requirements some drives must use two USB ports on a Mac computer. The My Passport drives work perfectly with one port on a Mac.

I bout one for myself a year ago, and I loved it so much I bought one for my brother. The product is easy to use, just plug and go. No problems with storage space. partitions are easy to set up if you need them. Just as easy to erase if you don't. When plugged in it doesn't use a lot of battery life.
