iHome iP1 Studio Series Home Audio System
The iHome iP1 Studio Series Home Audio System is an iPod or iPhone docking system that's totally dedicated to your music. Featuring Bongiovi Acoustics' Digital Power Station, the iP1 uses this patented technology to bring life back to your compressed music files. And with 100 watts of power, two 4" woofers (40W each), and two 1" tweeters, you'll feel every note no matter where you stand in the room. Other features of the iP1 include a full function remote with iPod/iPhone menu navigation, a line-in jack for connecting other audio devices, and Component and Composite connections for sharing your iPod or iPhone's video content on any TV.
- iPhone & iPod Compatibility
- The iP1 speaker dock features universal iPhone and iPod compatibility, meaning it will dock, charge, and play any 30-pin docking iPod or iPhone model. In addition, the 3.5mm auxiliary input allows you to connect any audio device with a 3.5mm jack
- Bongiovi Acoustics' Digital Power Station
- The iHome Studio Series iP1 features the Bongiovi Acoustics' Digital Power Station. This patented technology constantly scans your audio to restore harmonics and clarity lost to compression in today's music formats
- The "B" Button
- With the "B" button activated, the Digital Power Station, or DPS, constantly scans the program material and provides accurate boosts to compensate for any deficiencies across the frequency curve. The result is a restoration of once-missing harmonics, brightness, clarity, and presence. It also delivers a deeper, more resonant bass and extends audio bandwidth without adding peak output to the signal

The iP1 is very simple to use out of the Box plug and play, the only problem I had and it seems to be common on most Docking systems is that I had to take the Ipod out of it's protective case to get it to connect. The sound is great, once I got the Ipod EQ setup my kids thought it was my home stereo. Very impressed with the quality of the iP1 as well as the sound it produces. Big plus for me was as long as the unit is pluged in, when you turn it off it still charges the Ipod and or Iphone. Would have liked to seen a headset jack so I could plug in a good set of cans but that is something I can live with out.

The speaker is good and performs to my expectation. However, the cover for the battery in the remote control cannot be closed properly after I put the battery in. I have to use a rubber band to keep the cover on.
