Intelligent Auto (iAuto) Mode analyzes your composition and automatically adjusts critical exposure settings for brilliant, hassle-free shooting.
Face Detection and Autofocus Tracking keep all of your subjects in sharp focus. The 5x Optical Zoom Lens has a range of 24-120mm equivalent on a full frame camera. This gives you a very wide-angle for taking photos in a tight spot.

The colors are not saturate enough. Even older Olympus produced better colors.
The wide angel is great, but if the image is poor, what is the point?
Only thing I am happy about is the Magic filter that produce funny, distorted, cartoon-like photos. My other $7000 camera can't do that.
Yes, I do use Photoshop to fix the imperfection for ALL photos taken from this camera. (hate it)
I bought this for my sister (know nothing about photography), I personally won't use it because the picture quality is under my pro standard.

WE bought 2 FE5020s. Image quality is poor, should be 1.2 MPs instead. Tech support lectures us on ISO, shutter speeds, depth-of-field and tells us to set for "indoors" or "outdoors" (no change). We have done professional work for decades, 55 cameras here, 17 or 18 are digital, darkroom printing since 1955, even 4x6s are soft. Tech support wants more photos to review to wear us down. It seems we know nothing about photography or cameras.

I bought this camera because Olympus has never let me down in the past. And they did it again. Fast power on and ready to shoot. Clear optics and fast focus. The face recognition focus is a nice touch. Rechargable battery last's longer than standered AA's and charges fast to. The zoom is great! It doubles as a fare video camera to. And its small enough to put in youre pocket or purse.
