The 24x Internal SATA DVD-RW Burner with LightScribe from HP allows you to store media on a wide variety of disks. With support for DVD±R DL, DVD-RAM, DVD±RW, as well as CD-R and CD-RW, you can burn home-video DVDs, create mix CDs, or just back-up important files on your computer. LightScribe technology allows you to write labels directly to compatible disks, so you no longer have to worry about illegible handwritten labels and the hassle of printing label stickers.

i use this to burn company logo on dvds. this is a better alternative than pasting a label on the disk, but don't expect vivid graphics with lightscribe. I downloaded software from lightscribe website for free at it works great.

I purchased this DVD burner to replace my factory original HP DVD burner which failed.Installation took 5 minutes, and was completely plug and play.HP wanted [$] for this exact same unit!I was surprised at how fast the 1270i burner burns discs compared to the factory original burner.The Lightscribe function also burns clear, sharp labels on the discs.Hard to beat for the money.

Needed an additonal Dvd burner to be able to burn on the fly. Checking locally the HP dvd 1270 retails for [$] plus tax. B&H Photo sells the same burner for [$], no tax [...]. The HP 1270 was a snap to install, I actually bought two and plan on picking up two more. If you think B&H Photo is for only camera equiptment, think again. Over the years I've gotten into the habit of always checking B&H before shelling out money locally and more times than not, items such as matte cutters and accessories,archival photo mounting supplies, lighting as well as sound reinforcement have been not only available from B&H, but cheaper than other sites and definitely cheaper retail. Talk about CHEAP, not long ago I took a chance on purchasing for $60.00 used, the Century Precision Optics DS-65CV-SB 0.65x Wide Angle Lens for my Sony VX2100 (again from B&H) which retails new for $389.99 and as soon as I mounted it and fired the Sony up I was blown away. Just came back from Vegas and never took it off the camera. The best $60.00 I've spent in a while. [...]

Works very well, easy install, Nero software is good, Lightscribe may need to download additional templates, Needed 2 for same PC and bought them from another supplier both worked fine until I rebooted the PC and then neither was recognized, unplug either one and the other would work fine by itself, long story short each had different serial numbers but Identical Internal ID numbers. Bought 3rd unit here works fine with either of the others. Just a caution if you need 2! I now have a spare.
