The California Sun-Bounce system consists of collapsible aluminum frames of various sizes that can be easily assembled and combined with different sizes of reflecting, light-reducing, or light-absorbing screens to take full advantage of any kind of light--hard or soft, natural or artificial. This California Sun-Bounce Sun-Bounce Flash Bracket allows you to use the smaller Sun-Bounce reflectors (the Micro Mini--2x3'; the Mini--2x4'; and the Pro--4x6': all available separately) with your dedicated wireless on-camera flash (not included) as an off-camera flash to create a broader, more versatile light source.
The bracket clamps to the Sun-Bounce frame (not included) and can be positioned at varying distances relative to the reflector screen (not included), producing a softer, very professional-looking light, either hand-held or on a light stand. Take the flash bracket off, and the reflector is ready to bounce sunlight again--an all-in-one location lighting tool for portrait, journalist, wedding or nature photographers.

Comments about California Sunbounce Sun-Bounce Flash Bracket:
I've used the bracket on a few on-location portrait shoots so far. I used it with the micro mini silver/white and it definitely puts out sufficient light. The set-up is light enough that I can hold the sunbounce in one hand and shoot with the other. I also like how the bracket can be used as a flash bracket, handle, or even kickstand with the reflector. My only complaint is that even when I tighten the screws and clamps down they sometimes flop loose. The flash sits tightly in the hot shoe mount so that hasn't been a problem though. Overall a good portable way to use off camera flash.

Comments about California Sunbounce Sun-Bounce Flash Bracket:
I purchased this product to work in conjunction with a Sun-Bounce Mini. It works very well and gives a smooth even illumination. You do have to be careful to not use too heavy of a shoe mount flash. I found it helpful to add two small bungee cords from the bracket to the top of the Mini Bounce frame to support heavier flashes such as a Nikon SB 900.

Comments about California Sunbounce Sun-Bounce Flash Bracket:
Finally jumped in and got the sunbounce mini and the flash bracket.
I must say, the best investment I've done so far with photography.
I used it in the last shoot, outdoor, beach, windy. The mini was light, rigid, and very useful. Very happy with it.
The bracket hold on tight onto the mini's frame (clamp is manfrotto from memory). The aluminium body is rigid, no noticable flex. The speedlight holder have a light play into it, but not a deal breaker.
Overall, very happy with it. The arm and mini is very well made and compliment each other. The kit is pricey compared to other reflector, but you do get what you pay for.
