The California Sunbounce system consists of a collapsible aluminum frame that can be easily assembled and combined with different reflecting, light-reducing, or light-absorbing screens to take full advantage of any kind of light, hard or soft, natural or artificial. This California Sunbounce Pro Sun-Bounce Kit - Zebra/White Screen (4 x 6') includes the lightweight (less than 4 lbs), stable, anodized aluminum frame, a reversible zebra/white screen, and a shoulder bag to hold the frame and screen. The zebra side has a pleasant warming effect (it lowers the color temperature by 400°K), similar to an 81A filter on your camera. The surface is a herringbone pattern of silver and gold, less reflective than silver. The white side reflects a softer, diffused light. The frame is designed with an integrated crossbar and clamp so that it can be comfortably held in many different ways--by hand or by attaching it to a tripod, for instance. The frame and screen fold to fit into the included shoulder bag.

Bounces a beautiful light. Very light weight. It takes a little work to get it put together but not that bad. It is pricey but I have not seen anything else as good.

I'm the LD on the kardashian shows and I have just recently started using the sunbounce for its versatility and quick set up. I also find it great for all the walk and talks we shoot walking down the streets of cali, for a bit of fill to make the faces come out and also give the girls a bit of a pop while moving around. The sunbounce is also a good piece to travel with as its just a little canvas bag without any ears and corners to deal with. I only gave it 4 stars due to its pricey nature. otherwise a great investment for working on the run

Had a round reflector the longest time, but got booked for outdoor. 5 model shoot. Decided to invest the sun bounce. So worth every penny, easy to assemble and break-down and large enough for the 5 models

A magic size that produces an incredible amount of light over a very long distance - maybe x4 subjectively over the next size down. This lets you be a great deal further away, say out of the shade and in the sun, and still reflect the light where it needs to be - easily 20 feet or more on a bright day.
Construction is excellent and the fabric is taunt and so highly directable and featherable.
Assembly and disassembly are difficult though because of this designed in tautness - and some care should be taken or you will risk injury to your hands.
Also very, very light weight.

This is by far my favorite sun shaping tool. The frame is very lightweight and durable. Setup is much quicker/easier than the lastolite panels. Fabric is always kept wrinkle free/taut and the unit can be easily mounted on a stand. Only downside is the high price.

Comments about California Sunbounce Pro Sun-Bounce Kit - Zebra/White Screen (4 x 6'):
I've given this a 4 out of 5 rating only because of its pricing and the overall value proposition. It's very expensive, but it's also the best reflector system that I've seen. Looking at it as a long term, quality investment in photographic equipment, it should serve its user well and last for many years.
The 4x6' Sunbounce can be a bit unwieldly to handle, particularly if there's any substantial wind. It's best used with an assistant who doesn't mind taking flight if a big gust comes up! I also own the Sunbounce lightstand head that allows me to attach their reflectors to a standard lightstand. It works well, but only if there is no wind. I've tried sandbags with the wind, and even that can be too challenging for most shoots.
Assembly and disassembly can take longer than you are led to believe on the Sunbounce site, particularly the first time when the fabric is being stretched. It takes a fair amount of strength. You'll also want to be careful with the fabric reflector material, so that you don't snag it or tear it on the ground. Storing it correctly, as per the instructions, is important.

This is by far the best product out of all the 4x6 reflector kits on the market. Easy to use, sturdy, great light, and love being able to attach it to a stand. Its worth the extra cost!!
