The speakers are great. They sound great for movies but if you use them for music they really arent that great. i also how them hooked up to the onkyo reciver ht rc-360.Which is a awsome reciver too, but u def get your money worth.

After doing much research for a good sound system within my budget range, this bundle is the result. Right now I'm using it in a small area but it could be used in a larger area than I have and still sound fantastic. To be quite honest with you, I was totally blown away by the sound produced from these speakers and even more so by the price! If given the chance, I'd buy this setup again!

Great product. Easy to set up just follow instructions. Sound quality is very good for this price. The only bad side is that wires which come in the box are too short and I will recommend you anyway to upgrade with better quality speaker wires.

pretty happy with everything I got for the money except the sub makes an annoying noise went it automatically shuts itself off when no bass is being transmitted. This is super annoying especially when watching a movie. I'm sure this saves electricity but would rather it just shut off automatically when receiver is turned off or a longer delay, like a delay long enough to finish a movie.

Speakers are a great match to an Onkyo AV Receiver I recently purchased, a step up from the speakers I had before.
The speaker wire is a little short for the surround speakers. I don't have a very big room and they barely reached.
One of the surround speakers has a rattle when it is moved, I'm assuming something happened in shipment, but it operates fine.

I brought myself a pioneer 1020 receiver for Christmas and I was looking for a good but reasonable price surround speaker system to match it up with for my home theater room after two week of researching different systems one 7.1 speaker system kept getting mention highly on different web sites so to see what all the hipe was about with the onkyo sks-ht870 I took a trip down to the local electronic store and I was empress with rang of sound these speakers could achieve so with that in mind and with the unbeatable price that B&H was offering them for I had to jump right on the offer and after my delivery came I wasted no time hooking them up to my to receiver once I turn t them on the amazing sound of SKS-HT870 blow me away, they sound twice as better at home than in the store now my wife is mad because she can't keep me out of the theater room I think she should be happy at lease she knows where to find me because i'm really enjoying my brand new toy

We purchased this speaker system to complete our first home theater system. And it is a great buy and we are very satisfied with what it provides. It definitely makes a big difference to our movie and music experience at home and we are glad we have it. The sound quality is obviously great and there is not so much to complain except several things I would like to mention.
1. The sub-woofer is bigger than I expected. Compared to whole system, it's relatively large in size. However, it does its job nicely, and actually it doesn't look bad because the finish of it is very nice.
2. The wirings included are kind of thin. And the system might require longer wirings than those provided. If planning on using the system in a room that is not very small, extra wirings might be needed, especially for the background speakers in the back and on the sides.
3. I don't know if it's the case for every system. The sub-woofer we got makes a little noise when going to standby mode every time. It's not loud but still noticeable. I don't mind because it's only minor.
For these three points I mentioned, I am being critical. I am only a beginner in home theater system so this product provides exactly what I needed. So overall, I have to say I am superly happy with this system. Easy installing with not confusion and nice bass and clear sound. And never gives me a problem. What else should I ask for. It's worth the money I spent.

I did a ton of research and working with a budget, you don't get much of a choice. I've found the SKS-HT870 gives you more than your moneys worth, for real!
I use these in conjunction with my LGBD390 and LG50PS30 all hooked into my TX-NR807. The 807 allows me to run different sound formats through these speakers and using this system primarily for blu-rays, DVDs and CDs, I've got everything I could need. I'm using HDMI cables so I'm getting the most out of my audio and video capabilities.
With 7 130w speakers and a 290w sub-woofer,these speakers are truly worth more than the asking price, and while they're on sale?, I can't believe there are any to be had.
I've read negative reviews on this set, and to be quite honest with you, I don't see how you could do any better with your money, unless you had at least $500. to spend OVER the msrp. This set is bomb!

Simple system, nicely hooked up to my Pioneer vsx1019 AVR - speaker response deviation seems a little apparent but is expected for its small size - nothing that a manual EQ couldn't fix using the AVR control. Easy to set up, constructed nicely, great subwoofer response as well.
