Comments about G-Technology 1TB G-RAID mini2 Quad Interface Portable Hard Drive:
The built in mini cooling fan is a great addition, portable drives of this size without a fan get too hot...no wonder they don't last long. This drive is surprisingly small for such a huge storage capacity, the sturdy aluminum construction also looks very cool. I like the USB/firewire/SATA options as I don't always rely on USB. The external power supply is great when I use the laptop as it prolongs the battery life by not powering the drive via USB from the laptop battery.

Comments about G-Technology 1TB G-RAID mini2 Quad Interface Portable Hard Drive:
Packaging looked good, but that's about it. Plugged it into my Macbook Pro as instructed and immediately had the failure drive light come on. I did all the suggested troubleshooting with no change. Unfortunately, I registered my product BEFORE testing it. I guess I thought it would work the first time. Waiting to see what kind of service I'll get from G-Tech.

This is the first mini I bought. I have been traveling on planes with the large G-RAIDs and this solution is SO much better.
Comments about G-Technology 1TB G-RAID mini2 Quad Interface Portable Hard Drive:
I had this drive for 8 month when it decided to not boot up anymore. Luckily I had everything backed up. Took about 7 weeks for G Raid to send me another drive. Now, it will no longer be used as my primary drive but as a backup. I'd rather buy two drives for the price of one G raid.
