The JUNO-Di from Roland is a 61 key synthesizer with over 1000 great sounding presets, the ability to run on batteries, and a built-in song player that enables you to trigger backing tracks right from the keyboard. The idea is to supply you with an instrument with lots of useful sounds to play and tweak to your liking, but also give you lots of problem solving features that will make life easier when writing, rehearsing, and performing.

Weighing under 12 lbs (5.2 kg), the JUNO-Di is remarkably lightweight for a 61 key professional keyboard. It can run on 8 AA batteries, liberating you to play music anywhere you please. A microphone input allows you to easily incorporate vocals into your work, and a dedicated reverb knob gives the vocals a professional sheen.

A USB input on the front panel allows you to attach a flash memory stick. You can playback song files for rehearsal, or you can play backing tracks to fully flesh out your arrangements. A second USB port on the rear allows you to use the JUNO-Di as a fully functional MIDI controller for digital audio software. The rear of the JUNO-Di also features a dedicated auxiliary input, enabling you to plug in an MP3 or CD player.

Just because the JUNO-Di is loaded with useful tools and functions doesn't mean that it lacks in sounds. Among the hundreds of built-in sounds you will find electric pianos, strings, guitars, synths, percussion, and many more. It features a lush grand piano with a dedicated button, so you can always find your way back to it in an instant. You can make any sound your own with the dedicated control knobs, or get deep control with the included Mac and Windows compatible software editor.

Comments about Roland JUNO-Di - 61-Key Mobile Synthesizer with Song Player:

I use the Juno for my own entertainment and for anyone else who wants to listen. Has a really great sound without the top of the line price.
It has a great ability to produce a variety of sounds making you feel as if you were a whole orchestra. The software will not work with all versions of winddows.

Comments about Roland JUNO-Di - 61-Key Mobile Synthesizer with Song Player:

So far I have nothing bad to say about this baby, I was looking for something lightweight and this fits the bell very. Haven't come across anything that bothers me, and I had no problems just plugging it and using it, simple controls and very intuitive layout. Compared to the Korg I have the Di is childs play as far as navigating. I would have given it 5 stars but I haven't put the hours on it yet to justify that.

Comments about Roland JUNO-Di - 61-Key Mobile Synthesizer with Song Player:

I am a guitar player who spent a lot of time looking to try to find a perfect keyboard, I had looked through digital pianos, arrangers, workstations, and many synths until I found the Roland Juno Di. It was perfect, it has the perfect weight of keys (I think if the keys are heavy like a real piano, it makes it near impossible to play synth parts, and if they feel to light they feel cheap), many great sounding patches (I especially like the piano, organ, clavinet, harpsichord, xylophone, steel drums, strings, sitar, banjo, harp, violin, viola, cello and synths, they sound SO REAL, but the harmonica, brass and drums could sounds better, it has the the sounds you could ever want, but surprisingly it doesn't have a sound for the ukulele or mandolin), great features (I really like the pitch bend wheel, vocoder effects, and D-Beam)
The only thing I don't like about it is it can't record, thats not really a big deal to me because synths don't usually record, workstations do that. I also am not that big of a fan of the synth sounds, a lot of them are good, but a lot of them are totally unusable for me they just sound like 80's dance synths (I do realize that synths were mostly used in the 80's so most of the sounds should sound like that, but I just really don't like that 80's sound, some people do though so its important that they put it on there) I'm more into ambient synths, and I didn't think enough of those were on there, no big deal though thats where the patch editing software comes in! I haven't been able to try it yet, my Mac is too old to run it, but I'm getting a new one soon so that should be exciting.
Okay, bottom line if your price range is anything in between $400 and $900 GET THIS SYNTH! IT IS AWESOME, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!
