Bose CineMate Series II Digital Home Theater Speaker System
The CineMate Series II from Bose is an easy-to-use 2.1 digital home theater speaker system designed to bring out the full audio potential of your TV and video sources. The system consists of the Bose Acoustimass module and a pair of articulated array speakers. The Acoustimass module provides deep low frequency sounds. It can be easily hidden in a corner or out of view, yet the sound seems to magically come from the speakers. The speakers provide a full frequency range for realistic audio that puts you right in the middle of your favorite movies, games, and music.
The system is equipped with Bose's proprietary TrueSpace technology, which delivers a spacious, multichannel sound experience with strong center imaging without the complication of additional speakers and wires. The system also includes a sleek 4-button wireless remote to control the system.

An improvement over the TV sound, but mostly just in the base. The voice reproduction is not anything worth writing home about. Having a separtate remote for sound and mute finally pushed my into a high quality programmed remote which does it all.

Very good cost/benefit relation equipment! I have interfaced it to my LED TV with the supplied digital optical cable. The sound is magnificent. Bass is great. Clear and powerful sound in a large frequency range. I did not miss the surround speakers. Ideal for apartments and smaller rooms. Bose rocks!

I have a small-ish living room and needed a boost in sound quality from my LCD that could "Shake the Walls" but still have a small footprint. This worked perfectly. It's elegant, stylish, easy to set up and crystal clear.
I have one con if I may. This unit is meant to connect to the LCD and that alone. If you have any other devices you might like to go through the Bose System(AM-FM radio, iPod, etc)it will have to pass through the LCD first and that's a challenge.
